Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Two young characters have sex and we briefly see rear nudity on both of them. A young girl prostitutes herself. A young man sleeps with another man for money and we hear his groans of discomfort.

A girl 'jerks off' a man.

We see total frontal nudity of a man for a split second.

Several references to gay sex and other forms.

This movie itself is made around the concept of sex and drugs and mind you, it is not for completely family viewing.

Violence & Gore

The bodies of characters who have overdosed are seen.

Profanity

Frequent subtitled profanity. Virtually every word in the book is used.

Constant drug use. Young teenagers use LSD, cannabis, angel dust and eventually heroin. We frequently see people injecting drugs and prostituting themselves to pay for their habits. There also a sustained and very disturbing withdrawal sequence in which the characters are seen sweating, shivering and vomiting.

The subject matter of young teenagers using hard drugs is quite disturbing. The scene in which two characters attempt to withdraw from heroin is very distrubing and disgusting to watch as we see them vomiting and sweating profusely. There is also a scene in which a man forcefully shoves a needle into his neck that may disturb some people.
