- Boom mic visible: When the three main characters are talking on the arcade floor, 'Bridges, Jeff' bumps his arm on the mike.
- Crew or equipment visible: When Flynn runs through the computer halls shortly before he gets scanned in the computer, you see a crew member sitting behind a Cray 1 supercomputer and several others reflected in the glass on the same Cray 1.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: After Flynn returns to the real world, the computer prints out the information that he needs. The printer seen is a daisy-wheel printer, but the sound effect is a dot-matrix printer.
- Revealing mistakes: In Flynn's Arcade, a couple of kids are "playing" pinball machines that aren't switched on (visible at the top left of the screen in the overhead shots).
- Revealing mistakes: When Alan leaves his cubicle to see Dillinger (after he finds the Tron program unavailable), the line between the built set and the matte painting of the cubicles moves distinctly (clearly visible on the DVD).
- Continuity: Yori's headgear changes to a male's helmet while on the Solar Sailer, and back to a female's covering when she is off the Sailer.
- Continuity: When Flynn is scanned into the computer he is wearing Adidas trainers. In all scenes prior to that he is wearing Nike trainers.
- Continuity: The readout on Dillinger's desk/computer showing that he stole the videogame programs from Flynn changes between shots. In the close-up of the screen, the readout is identical to Flynn's printout. In the wider shot, it is a more complex, database-like list. (see also Trivia)
- Revealing mistakes: When Alan (Bruce Boxleitner) is leaving Dillinger's (David Warner) office the lit elevator button does not turn off when the doors open.
- Continuity: When Sark has his power cycles slowed down by the MCP the first time (0h:33m), the shot from behind Sark has his arms flailing about, but the front shot of Sark shows his arms holding on to the panels.
- Continuity: When Flynn, Tron and Ram escape from the lightcycle arena, the first shot of all three cycles (when Flynn is heard saying "Greetings, programs!") shows Tron in front, followed by Flynn, then Ram. In all subsequent shots, Flynn is in front, then Tron, then Ram.
- Continuity: In the opening Lightcycle battle just before Sark kills the other program the Lightcycles instantly change places from Sark's blue cycle on the left and the yellow one on the right to blue right, yellow left and then instantly back again.
>>> WARNING: Here Be Spoilers <<<
Goofs below here contain information that may give away important plot points. You may not want to read any further if you've not already seen this title.
- Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: Ram (Dan Shor) has just died and the next scene shows Tron (Bruce Boxleitner) running down a corridor. As this is occurring, there's a black speck to the right that's crawling around in a circle indicative of a bug on the transfer screen.
