In addition to Poet, the former Punky Brewster star is also mom to daughter Jagger Joseph Blue, 20 months, with husband Jason Goldberg.

Is Luc Besson an overrated filmmaker? I think he's a fine director but reviewing his resume he's usually a pretty average writer and his movies are kind of hit-or-miss. But every once in while he sneaks in an effort that surprises you, makes you take a step back and think, Whoa, where'd that come from? My most recent such reaction came while watching his last directorial effort, Angel-a, a sweet and moving love story dropped into a hotzone trifecta of mediocrity including The Fifth Element, The Messenger and Arthur and the Invisibles. To that point, outside of Angel-a he hasn't made a substantial contribution to the medium since Leon - The Professional, a contribution certainly worth celebrating, and will be done so over the next ten paragraphs.
I didn't see The Professional in the movie theater. I watched it on VHS.

If you grew up in the 1980s, the mere mention of Punky Brewster brings back very distinct memories of childhood days in front of the boob-tube. Love or hate the show, it's an indelible part of that decade. While there's little chance that we'll ever see a Punky Brewster reunion, actress Soleil Moon Frye recently revived her character for a special visit.
Punky Brewster revolves around a precocious little girl who has been abandoned by her mother in Chicago. With only her faithful dog Brandon as a companion, Punky starts living in a vacant apartment in an old building. There, she meets the grumpy landlord, photographer Henry Warnimont (George Gaynes). The two quickly bond and Henry becomes her foster parent and later adopts her. Others in the series include Susie Garrett, Cherie Johnson, T. K. Carter, Ami Foster, and Casey Ellison.

Well, for at least four-and-a-half minutes. To celebrate collecting 1 million Twitter followers, Soleil Moon Frye decided to don her Punky Brewster gear as a thank you to fans. And holy macanoli, does the 33-year-old mother of two still pull off neon! I always love when former child stars are willing to have a laugh at themselves (hello Mark-Paul Gosselaar!), and the artist formally known as Punky totally wins me over at the 3:30 mark, when pointing to her bad-ass leg bandana: "Punky was gangster before gangster was even gangster!" Watch and enjoy—particularly the shout-out to Frye's filming assistant, Mrs. Kutcher herself.

Inspired, perhaps, by Mark-Paul Gosselaar's late-night resurrection of Saved By The Bell's Zack Morris, actress Soleil Moon Frye dressed up as Punky Brewster and shouted at Demi Moore for five minutes in a web video (after the jump) in order to acquire a million Twitter followers. Meanwhile, somewhere, Vicki from Small Wonder whispered at a Sav-On pharmacist for ten seconds and got nothing in return but some tropical-fruit-flavored Rolaids. Is this fair?

The Twitterverse exploded Wednesday morning (August 26) with thousands of tributes to the "Lion of the Senate," Senator Edward "Ted" Kennedy, who died Tuesday night at 77 after a battle with brain cancer.
Among the thousands of eulogies that went up once the early morning news broke were kind words from celebrities who'd met or worked with Kennedy or who were simply touched by his lifelong service to his country.

Diddy weighed in early, tweeting, "We gonna miss you uncle Teddy! R I P!!!!" Singer John Legend was short and sweet, posting, "Rip Teddy Kennedy. Sad," while "American Idol" winner David Cook tweeted, "My sincere condolences go out to Ted Kennedy's family ~D.

Punk'd meets Punky Brewster this Mother's Day - and 100 moms are benefiting.
Ashton Kutcher and Soleil Moon Frye took to their Twitter pages to announce a contest offering free goods to deserving moms being organized by Frye, the actress who also co-owns the organic children's store The Little Seed.
The competition called for women to send in stories about being mothers. "We Twittered to everyone in our community and received an outpouring of emotional stories," Frye, who teamed up with Scandinavian Child, Kate Quinn Organics and Serena & Lily for the giveaway. "I read these stories and I was just weeping.

Earlier this week Ashton Kutcher challenged television news network CNN to a race to see who would be the first to reach one million followers on Twitter, read on to find out who came out on top! Late Thursday night Ashton reached the one million followers mark. Streaming live from his home Ashton received support from his wife Demi Moore, "Punky Brewster" star Soleil Moon Frye, and also received a phone call from Sean "Diddy" Combs. The actor wrote on his Twitter that if he won the war against CNN, he would donate 10,000 mosquito bed nets to charity for World Malaria Day. CNN later responded that they would match Ashton's charitable donation if they beat the actor. Shortly after Ashton's victory CNN congratulated and recognized him as the first Twitter member to reach 1,000 followers.

"I had a breast reduction," she tells People. "[They] went from out-of-proportion to a perfect teardrop. Now I take off my shirt and they're high and beautiful.”
