• Revealing mistakes: Just after Burt's car hits the boy, it skids to a halt, but the tire marks are in front of the car.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: When Burt is at the crossroads in the car and he stops and complains about having just passed a sign to Gatlin, the director and crew are reflected in the side of the car.
  
  
• Continuity: After Burt hits the runaway with his car, the boy is on his stomach. Burt rolls him onto his back but in subsequent shots he is on his stomach again.
  
  

• Crew or equipment visible: After the gas attendant checks his garage after hearing a noise, as he walks back to his red truck, you can see a boom microphone rise and then lower in the windshield.
  
  
• Continuity: When Vicky gets carried away from the bedroom, the sandal on her left foot falls off. Later in the cornfields as she gets raised on the large crucifix, the sandal has appeared back on her foot.
  
  
• Continuity: The pattern of the blood on Job's face in Hansen's changes between shots.
  
  
• Continuity: When Sarah draws her picture of everyone standing outside Hansen's Café with knives, between the wide shot and close-up, the drawing changes.
  
  
• Continuity: As Joseph is about to run away through the corn field, the shot pans across the corn and it is blowing in the wind. In the very next shot as Job says, "You're not going through the corn are you?" the corn is now totally still.
  
  
• Continuity: After Burt hits Joseph in the road, the body moves from in the middle of the road on a yellow line, to by the side of the road.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: As Vicky and Burt are driving down a dirty lane, through a row of corn, you can see fresh tire tracks in the mud from a previous take.
  
  
• Continuity: When Burt and Vicky are driving, in some exterior shots we see there are telegraph poles on Burt's side of the road, but in interior shots of the car there are none.
  
  
• Continuity: When Malachi and some others are trying to take Vicky from a bedroom, someone hacks a bit of the door out with an axe, but in the next shot that part is suddenly back intact.
  
  
• Continuity: The length of the cut on Vicky's cheek.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: When the gas station attendant is talking out loud to himself after giving directions to the people, there is a shot of him through a window, in the window you can see a crew member.
  
  
• Continuity: After Sarah takes the needle off of the record player, the record continues to spin to a stop, then in one shot it stops spinning. But in a following shot it is still spinning.
  
  
• Continuity: Position of small white clock on the table, as Vicky talks to Sarah.
  
  
• Continuity: When Burt twists the arm of the girl who is giving the church sermon, to hold her still, her black dress strap falls halfway down her arm. In a following shot, before she grabs the knife, it is back up on her shoulder.
  
  
• Continuity: Size and shape of blood stain on Burt's tee-shirt during the chase.
  
  
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Sarah's mother is on the phone with her husband, she says, "I'm worried Dave, the fever's gone from 101 to 104," yet her mouth doesn't move.
  
  
• Continuity: When Burt and Vicky are driving around and end up at the gas station, the sun is near sunset. But a few scenes later on, the sun is high like it's late morning, even though it takes place later on in the same day.
  
  
• Continuity: At the start of the film when Vicky gives Burt his present, the radio is to the right of the wall plug fixture. When she turns the radio on, the radio is under the plug fixture.
  
  
• Continuity: After Issac returns from the dead and grabs Malachai by the neck, it cuts to a shot Job in the barn lighting a lantern. He lights it and then walks over to Sarah and Vicky who crouch down, because strong winds are starting to pick up. You can see that there are two children huddling behind the barn wall (Job passes them as he walks over to Sarah and Vicky with the lantern) - a boy and a girl. Then Burt enters the barn and yells "Vicky" and then the shot changes angle, and we can still see where the two children should be, but now only the boy is there, sitting down and hiding his head, and the girl who was next to him has vanished.
  
  
• Continuity: When Burt and Job are out in the cornfields, trying to set up the hose, Burt tells Job to turn the valve. As Job turns it, his ripped cardigan hanging from his elbow, yet in the next shot it's up on his shoulder.
  
  
• Continuity: When Burt, Vicky and the two kids arrive back to the corn-trashed car at the end of the movie, the corn stuffed inside the front of the car is no higher than the open bonnet, yet in the next shot corn is sticking out, up higher than the open bonnet.
  
  
• Factual errors: In the original theatrical trailer, Stephen King's name is misspelled as "Steven".
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: The electricity is off in Gatlin, but during the dusk chase scenes through the center of town, we can see the bank's ATM glowing reassuringly.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: In the scene where Joseph is running through the cornfield and he trips and falls to the ground. If you pause the scene just at the right moment after he falls; you can see the prop man who is going to spatter blood on the suitcase moments later on the right side of the shot. Half of his face and his right hand holding the tube full of blood is visible.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: During the scene when Burton turns the dead boy over in road, if you look closely you can see the child actor chest rise due to him inhaling.
  
  
• Boom mic visible: When Burt shakes the kids off in the church you can see the shadow of the boom mic on the wall.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Just before Vicky is dragged off, she throws a lamp at the approaching children. The lamp clearly has no cord.
