Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

A few mild sexual innuendos/references

Violence & Gore

Violence: Brief arguments and disputes. A creature eats a kid's hat, nearly his head. Gore: Some gross-looking creatures are shown.

Profanity

Three occasions of swearing.

Jeff says "Don't take any sh-t, David"

Nasa Scientist says "Holy sh-t"

and David's father says "That b-sta-d".

Some occasional swearing, including a couple $hits. Mainly just name calling like scuz bucket, butt face, little weasel, and dork (those four are really popular for this film appearing like 3-4 times)

None

There are some mild frightening scenes thru/o, mainly in the first half of the film. A kid doesn't know what's happening, he's taken to a place where NASA scientists want to find out what's going on and he doesn't like that, and a kid risks his life. Another kid talks about being forced to hang MISSING signs up every Saturday.
