- Continuity: When Roger drops the rope into the "black hole" in his medicine cabinet, it is tangled. When we see it fall, it unwinds as if it were just rolled up.
- Continuity: The rope that Roger lowers into the "black hole" in his medicine cabinet is a smooth, cotton rope. The rope that we see him sliding down is a rough, hemp rope.
- Continuity: When Roger and Jimmy are surprised by Skeleton Ben at the front door, their clothes and hair are dripping wet. Two seconds later, their clothes and hair are perfectly dry.
- Continuity: When Roger and Chet Parker comment on Aunt Elizabeth's picture which is covered partially with a rug, the rug changes position several times during cuts.
- Revealing mistakes: When Big Ben is talking, you can see the actor's mouth move under the skeleton make-up.
- Boom mic visible: In one of the first scenes in which Roger is inspecting the haunted closet, he turns and leaves the room and a moving boom mic's shadow is clearly visible in the upper left hand corner.
- Continuity: Whenever Roger enters his Aunt’s bedroom to look at the closet the window of the room is reflected in a mirror and it is clearly day time when it should be night... this happens on occasion throughout the film.
- Continuity: When the grocery boy walks up the porch to knock on Mrs. Hooper's door, the sun is shining on the backside of the house. When it cuts the sun is suddenly shining on the front of the house, hitting the door.
- Continuity: When Cobb notices the toy car rolling over the floor, the car stops on the right side of the black square on the floor. When it cuts the car is on the left side of the square. Also the sunlight on the floor differs between the shots.
- Boom mic visible: When the cops arrive an officer says, 'I know you, right? You're Roger... ' you can see the boom mic reflected on the visor of his police cap.
- Continuity: When Roger escorts the cops to the front door, he says 'My gun' and we see the cupboard door under the stairs is ajar. But when he closes the front door behind the cops the next shot shows the cupboard now closed.
- Continuity: In the scene where Sandy visits Roger's house, the 'cross' on her necklace changes position and back throughout the scene.
- Continuity: When skeleton Ben chases Roger into the bathroom, Roger locks the door and the lock is on the left from inside the bathroom, then Ben shoots the lock from the outside and the lock is on the left side from the outside of the door. Then when Ben opens the door, it hinges the other way again.

- Continuity: SPOILER: After the cops leave Roger's house, Roger is fighting with the Sandy/Demon upstairs, note how the large shotgun hole in her body has suddenly disappeared.
- Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: Later into the film Roger realizes that his aunt's paintings hold some significance to the whereabouts of his missing son. He removes a cloth from the top left of a painting revealing an image of his son trapped in his bathroom cabinet. Note the cabinet door is the wrong way round to the one in his bathroom.
- Continuity: SPOILER: When Roger is about to make an escape through the bathroom window, we can see the blinds are pulled all the way up. When it cuts the blinds are pulled half way down.
- Continuity: SPOILER: When Roger is running away from Ben, Ben breaks through the window and walks through it. Two shots later the window is suddenly mended.
- Continuity: SPOILER: When Roger is lowering himself down the hatch inside the mirror, a flying demon grabs his shotgun. At first the demon grabs the shotgun at its barrel, in front of Roger's hand. When it cuts the demon's hand is on the handle behind Roger's hand.
- Continuity: SPOILER: When Roger digs a hole in his backyard to bury the decapitated body of Sandy/demon he's startled by a neighbor who steps out of his swimming pool. Note the inconsistency of the sweat patch size on his t-shirt throughout this whole scene.
- Continuity: SPOILER: When Rogers blasts the Sandy/demon out through the front doors, we see a supposedly large bloody hole in her back, but no blood nor damage to the doors.
- Continuity: SPOILER: When Sandy turns into the demon she's still wearing her own clothes, however her footwear has gone from high-heels to blue socks and white leg warmers. Most noticeable when she gets shotgunned out through the front doors of the house. Then she reverts back to human and is wearing high-heels again.
- Continuity: SPOILER: When the Sandy/demon tries the blow Rogers brains out he opens the bathroom door containing the 'floating garden tools'. The hedge cutter shoots towards Sandy/demon lopping off her head. Next scene Roger picks up the head placing it in a bin bag, but there's no blood, but there was when he shotgunned a hole in her from an earlier scene.
