So What Was John Stamos Doing In Those Extortion Photos?

4 hours ago | Celebuzz.com | See recent Celebuzz news »

John Stamos is still alive. That's the good news. The bad news: a couple of knuckleheads tried to extort seven-hundred-g's from the former Full House TV star, threatening to reveal....party photos! Just to be clear, when you're famous and somebody's asking you for a suitcase full o' cash to keep party photos from the press, we're not talking birthday party photos. These aren't Polaroids of Stamos with chocolate cake around his mouth, trying to pin the tail on a wall-mounted donkey.  So, what exactly might be in the Stamos extortion photos?  I have used the power of the scientific method to deduce... »

John Stamos Thwarts Blackmail Scheme

5 hours ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online - Movies and Television news »

If you thought the Olsen twins were the two worst things that John Stamos ever had to deal with, you haven't met this pair. The FBI has arrested a couple of Michigan residents for trying to extort $700,000 from the erstwhile Full House and ER star, or as the feds like to call him, Mr. X. Per an affidavit obtained by The Smoking Gun, 23-year-old Allison Coss and 30-year-old Scott Sippola threatened to go public with photographs they claimed would be extremely damaging to the 46-year-old Stamos' squeaky-clean reputation, unless the actor coughed up some major cash. And it was Stamos himself who helped crack the case. The legal docs refer to Stamos only as "Mr. X, an actor," but The... »

A 'Twilight' Actor's Stolen Jacket, Mariah Carey And 'Scott Pilgrim vs. The World' In Today's Twitter-Wood

5 hours ago | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

Twitter-Wood had plenty to celebrate this weekend, with a mini "Full House" reunion between John Stamos and Candace Cameron to Brett Ratner's wrap on his new Mariah Carey video and Greg Mottola's pre-release praise for Edgar Wright's "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World."

Elsewhere, "Eclipse" actor BooBoo Stewart is still making his photography rounds, this time picking Hugh Jackman's nose -- and Wolverine looks shockingly comfortable with the pose. Check out those posts after the jump along with Steve Agee's porn benefit surprise and Alex Meraz's stolen jacket shocker. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for December 7, 2009.

Zenescope And Persistent Entertainment To Bring 'The Piper' To The Big Screen

3 December 2009 9:31 AM, PST | MTV Splash Page | See recent MTV Splash Page news »

Persistent Entertainment and Pantry Films have picked up the film rights for Zenescope Entertainment’s “The Piper”

First published in 2008, “The Piper” is a four issue miniseries by Mike Kalvoda and Axel Machain that updates the Pied Piper of Hamelin legend as a horror story. The miniseries follows a bullied high school student who discovers a way to use magic to get revenge on his classmates but gradually loses control to the spirit of the original Piper. The concept was created by Kalvoda along with Ralph Tedesco & Joe Brusha.

Tedesco & Brusha are also onboard the adaptation as executive producers, along with Persistent Entertainment’s Aaron Cruze and Pantry Films’ Dan Keston. Cruze is also attached to produce the upcoming adaptation of Image Comics’ “Ring of Roses.”

Back in 2008, Zenescope’s “Straw Men” was optioned by Benderspink — the production company behind “A History of Violence.” Zenescope’s “1001 Arabian Nights” and “The »

Writer Challenged by American Gladiator Movie

20 November 2009 3:35 PM, PST | newsinfilm.com | See recent newsinfilm news »

A screenwriter has signed for the impossible task of bringing TV’s “American Gladiators” to the big screen.

Peter Iliff (Varsity Blues, Point Break) believes he’s man enough to take on the adaptation.  “Gladiators” creator Johnny Ferraro is producing with the help of Scott Mednick (who is also reviving the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).

Variety reports the story will center on the Gladiators as superheroes, which is news to me because I was certain Nitro was some sort of modern-day Hercules.  Now I find out he’s just a muscle-bound actor and my memories are tarnished.  This is just like last year when I found out Michelle from “Full House” somehow grew into twin skeletons.  Next you’re going to tell me reality television is staged.

When the project was originally announced in May 2009, Ferraro saw it as a “compelling story” that would introduce a new set of characters. »

Monday’s Dancing: What You Didn’t See

Improv Act: Kelly Osbourne was pretty in pink Monday night as she sashayed on the dance floor for her first performance of the night. But things weren't as they appeared. "In case you didn't know, my 20-second solo was completely made up," she says of her rumba. "I got out there and froze." Her partner Louis van Amstel had complete faith in her as he watched on. "I was standing behind her and thinking, 'Keep your cool. Keep your cool,'" he tells People. The judges didn't detect her new routine -- the couple scored all 8s. Making an Impression: »

Documenting his journey around America, Saget immerses himself in different unusual cultures from the world of mail-order brides to joining a survivalist cult prepping for the end of the world to rushing a fraternity." He'll also be on "the back of a Harley with a biker gang" and "living with a group of partying Amish teenagers before they decide on whether or not they »

Veteran's Day, 'Precious' And 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' In Today's Twitter-Wood

11 November 2009 3:00 PM, PST | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

Veteran's Day brought no shortage of veteran appreciation today in Twitter-Wood, prompting thanks and memories from across the board, as well as a personal note from "Twilight" actor Gil Birmingham.

Meanwhile, Jason Schwartzman's on his way to the NYC debut of "Fantastic Mr. Fox," which as a Wes Anderson follower, I am anxious to see myself this weekend. Another new release, "Precious," really got a hold of Tyrese Gibson, who said the film's been keeping him awake. Check out their thoughts along with pictures from Peter Facinelli and John Stamos and a Henry Winkler autograph to be jealous of after the jump. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 11, 2009.

'90210' recap: Parental issues

11 November 2009 4:04 AM, PST | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

Everybody spent this episode of 90210 dealing with that old dramatic standby, parental baggage. The problem? They've never quite managed to integrate the adults into the action as seamlessly as some other teen dramas do (and even Gossip Girl struggles sometimes) -- this week's made some strides with some parental story lines but got a little snoozy with others. It was, unfortunately, a case of the latter when it came to Dixon and Deb Wilson. I've loved that the fake-pregnancy story line has brought Mama Wilson back into the fold, but I'm just not invested enough in the mom/son relationship »

Full House's Jodie Sweetin Struggled with Alcohol, Meth

10 November 2009 5:07 PM, PST | TVGuide.com - Features | See recent TVGuide - Features news »

Jodie Sweetin played the adorable, wisecracking Stephanie Tanner on the '80s sitcom Full House, but the former child star's real life has been considerably more dramatic. Sweetin stopped by TVGuide.com's studios to explain life as a "blackout drinker," how she got into meth, why her baby helped her turn things around and how her tell-all book — UnSweetined — helped her on the road to recovery.

Ashley and Mary-Kate Keep Their Cool With a Full House

10 November 2009 11:00 AM, PST | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

It was a mini Full House reunion last night at the Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine benefit in NYC, which was held to honor the Scleroderma Research Foundation. Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen posed alongside their on-screen dad Bob Saget, who also brought his own daughters Lara and Aubrey. John Stamos was there as well, and he later entertained the crowd with Bob and SNL's Seth Meyers. The Olsens took a break from promoting Olsenboye long enough to support the cause close to Bob's heart, though their latest line is apparently already on clearance. A Naked 'Twilight' Actress's New Moon And 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2' In Today's Twitter-Wood

9 November 2009 3:00 PM, PST | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

When "Twilight" cast members began tweeting about subjects involving missing clothing, I definitely did not expect to log on to Twitter today and find out that Christian Serratos decided to outdo all of them, but but her new garment-less PETA ad definitely succeeded.

Dane Cook and Ice-t, meanwhile, were less focused on saving fur and more intent on playing "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" this weekend, according to their posts, and at least one of them found himself in possession of some nightvision goggles. Check all of that out after the jump along with Danny Masterson's criticism for Andre Agassi, "Toy Story 3" director Lee Unkrich's favorite childhood toy and much more. Bob Saget Means Well: A Huffington Post Interview

7 November 2009 7:48 AM, PST | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

Bob Saget is probably the only man alive who could pull off a fundraiser for a debilitating disease one night, and sing a tune like "My dog licked my balls" the next. In both capacities, he kills. It's all part of who the comedian is: a wonderful walking contradiction. Saget's arguably best known to family audiences as fun-loving dad Danny Tanner on "Full House" and as the good-natured host on "America's Funniest Home Videos," but everyone knows by now that away from family-friendly TV and nut shots, he's one of the dirtiest comedians ever. On Monday, Nov. 9, the comedian will continue his split-personality street cred by dropping F-bombs and drawing laughter for a cause that hits close to home. That evening, he will host the Schleroderma Research Foundation's "Cool Comedy -- Hot Cuisine" Fundraising Gala at Carolines on... »

'Twilight' Actors Without Clothes, The 'New Moon' Premiere And Dog Accounts In Today's Twitter-Wood

6 November 2009 4:30 PM, PST | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

The Twitter-Wood feed started following its first canine today, as recent hacking victim and "Eclipse" actress Jodelle Ferland tweeted a pic referencing her dog "Genevieve Ferland." According to @gena_fur's Twitter account, Genevieve recently turned five, hates nail clippers and dressed as a princess last year for Halloween.

Lack of clothing was on the minds of two other "Twilight" series actors, though, as Tinsel Korey seems to have not yet found a dress for the "New Moon" premiere, and Charlie Bewley reported on his love of not wearing anything. Remarkably, I made none of this up. Check it out, along with an award Arnold Schwarzenegger recently presented to Kirk Douglas, a scandalous "Full House" photo and the reason "Iron Man 2" will show up to theaters late if it gets delayed. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 6, 2009.

Book Review – 'unSweetined' by Jodie Sweetin (Full House)

3 November 2009 4:42 PM, PST | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Today Jodie Sweetin (formerly the middle daughter, Stephanie, on Full House) released her autobiography, unSweetined, detailing her early acting years and her subsequent drug and alcohol addiction.  Only 27 years old, Jodie has lived through a lot of hard times.

Once Danny Tanner's bubbly daughter on America's favorite family sitcom, Jodie Sweetin takes readers behind the scenes of Full House and shares her terrifying — and uplifting — real-life story of addiction and recovery.

Jodie Sweetin grew up in front of America, melting our hearts and making us laugh for eight years as the cherub-faced middle child on Full House. Her ups and downs seemed not so different from our own, but more than a decade after the popular television show ended, the star we knew as goody-two-shoes Stephanie Tanner publicly revealed her shocking recovery from methamphetamine addiction. Even then, Jodie still kept a painful secret — one that could not be solved in thirty minutes with a hug, »

Jurnee on being a role model

3 November 2009 9:54 AM, PST | t5m.com | See recent t5m.com news »

Jurnee's filmography is as long as her arm, if not longer! She has worked on films like Eve's Bayou (1997) , Selma, Lord Selma(1999), The Great Debators (2007) and her television appearances include a stint on the hit Us drama Grey's Anatomy, Hanging with Mr Cooper (1992), Full House (1992-1994), ER (2002) ...the list goes on. Her older co-stars have always helped her with her confidence from a young age, and reminded her to believe in herself and her ability. She has a little village of fans, one being her mother, and the others that help validate her as an actor. She grew up watching Claudine (1974) and she had the opportunity to work with Diahann Carroll, who she looked up to. She hopes one day that she can be a role model for young aspiring actors, she told t5m. »
