The screaming sound you heard coming from your local Best Buy, Eb Games or Fry's? The people that just picked up their copy of Rock Band: The Beatles, now available for consumer consumption starting today.
45 tracks from across the fab four's reign from 1962 to 1969 including "A Hard Day's Night", "Back in the U.S.S.R.", "Can't Buy Me Love", "Twist and Shout", "Helter Skelter", "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" and "Yellow Submarine". As well there are four instruments modeled after the actual ones used by The Beatles that you can buy to feel that extra bit like George, Paul, John or Ringo. Additional Beatles songs will be released shortly but set you back $2 bucks a pop, or $20 for an album.

Update: Confirming earlier rumors, the final song has been revealed in "The Beatles: Rock Band." Alex Rigopulos, CEO of Harmonix, revealed the final song, "The End," at a GameStop managers convention in Las Vegas. This announcement rounds out the song list for "The Beatles: Rock Band." Midway through his Sunday night concert at Hard Rock Hotel's newly refurbished Joint, Sir Paul McCartney took a reflectionary pause, telling the baby boomer-packed house that "I'm gonna take a moment to take it all in". The uproarious crowd indulged him in tacit agreement for they understood the 65-year-old rock n' roll revolutionary's untouchable body of work has earned him every right to marinate in the moment.
But this was no ordinary crowd of middle-agers. For that night, they became a community of ticket-holding twenty-somethings on a pilgrimage of reverence for one-fourth of the Beatles formula and the ageless music he helped create.

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr haven't performed together in seven years but on Saturday night the former Beatles reunited on stage for a special performance, read on for more details. The music legends performed during the "Change Begins Within Concert" at Radio City Music Hall, the Associated Press reports. McCartney and Starr played various Beatles classics such as "With a Little Help from My Friends" and "Can't Buy Me Love," and they also played "Here Today" a song McCartney wrote for the late John Lennon, says the AP. The concert which featured performances by Eddie Vedder and Sheryl Crow was put on to benefit the David Lynch Foundation which teaches meditation to at-risk kids.

Music production team Transcenders (the founding members of the Black Eyed Peas), has signed on to score comedy Road Trip II: Beer Pong. The group, whose members are Mike Fratantuno, Brian Lapin and Terence Yoshiaki, Transcenders, contributed one song to the original 2000 Road Trip soundtrack and is now onboard to score the whole sequel. The film is directed by Steve Rash, whose previous credits include the 1980s teen cult hit Can't Buy Me Love and two recent Bring It On movies. Preston Jones and Julianna Guill star in the film which is scheduled to premiere later this year. Transcenders has contributed songs to films such as Superbad, Knocked Up, and 40 Year Old Virgin. »
