• Continuity: Jacques takes off his sneakers, then jumps into the pool with his sneakers on (although in the director's Cut we see him replace his shoes).
  
  
• Continuity: Johanna's Cigarette when she is giving her initial report to her boss in New York.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Enzo would have very marked lines on his face from "mask squeeze" from going to those depths at the end, when Jacque is holding him.
  
  

• Plot holes: In the first competition, there is one diver diving 107 meters. Enzo crushes his record by diving 110 meters. Later on Jacques dives 108 meters and yet he wins. The goof is repeated when Enzo gives Jacques a 1m measure as a symbol that he got beaten by that length, as if Enzo was the one diving only 107 meters.
