- Continuity: Postcards on Helen's fridge.
- Continuity: When Frank enters Mackey's apartement the second time, he leaves the door wide open. When Gina arrives it is closed.
- Revealing mistakes: Mirror bending as if it was made of rubber, when Helen's husband is pushing Frank against it.
- Continuity: At her first visit to Franck's apartment, Helen goes to the bathroom and returns with a bathrobe on. When they kiss, it can be seen that she wears her panties. A few seconds later, when she drops the bathrobe, she doesn't wear any.
- Continuity: When Frank visits Helen in the shoe store, she takes his shoe off. He never puts it back on, and he leaves the store in a huff.
- Revealing mistakes: When Terry slams Frank against the mirror in Frank's apartment, we hear the sound of breaking glass, yet later in the scene the mirror appears intact.
- Crew or equipment visible: In the scene where Helen and Frank are walking down the street at the end of the film, the camera and sound crew are reflected in a shop window.
- Continuity: Al Pacino's character's name is Frank Keller, yet when he is in Helen's apartment and sees his singles ad on her fridge, it clearly says "Frank Kellog".

- Continuity: SPOILER: Spoiler: When Frank throws Terry out the window, Terry goes out with his right shoulder down, facing the building. In the next shot, he is on his back, falling parallel to the building. When he hits the awning, he is now perpendicular to the building, his head toward the street.
