Sex & Nudity

It is implied that a couple has sex but there is nothing shown at all, and they are seen waking up the next morning.

A comment about "the noise from the newlywed couple next door", or something along those lines, but just a side-comment, nothing that is emphasized.

Overall, the sexuality is very mild and there is no nudity.

Violence & Gore

One character is found dead in bed, with a little blood seen seeping into the sheets beneath. There is a very wide shot in which you can see some blood on top of the character also, with some wounds, but it is from far away and is very brief.

Another character is shot with no blood, but his tie flies up in his face and he falls over backwards.

One off-screen killing where a serial killer puts a shotgun to a man's head and a shot is heard.

A man is punched in the face, but it isn't in any way serious.

Profanity

Because it is set in the "fast-talking" business world of the 30's and 40's, mild language is used throughout, including the d-word, h-word, and variations of God's name. Three f-words used toward the end by some rude detectives. When a character is punched there is a brief exclaimation of "what the f-"

Mainly mild language; there is very little language that would warrant higher than a PG-13, and there is no sexual dialogue.

Casual drinking and smoking, considering the time it represents, but it is hardly noticeable because it is not emphasized.

The story is dark and surreal, and toward the end some twists make it suspenseful and intense.
