(1991) Warren Beatty is infamous gangster Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel, the New York mobster who got stars in his eyes (and his bed) when he went west to run the Los Angeles rackets, in the grand screen biography of the Hollywood hood. Directed by Barry Levinson, it co-stars Annette Bening as his starlet lover, Virginia Hill, and Harvey Keitel as Bugsy's buddy Mickey Cohen, Ben Kingsley is Meyer Lansky, and Elliott Gould, Joe Mantegna, and Bebe Neuwirth co-star. Nominated for 10 Academy Awards, it won two Oscars (for Art Direction and Costume Design). This new two-disc set features an extended cut of the film featuring 15 minutes of footage unseen in theaters.
