Storyline

Just before bounty hunter Charile triggers his gun to destroy the last two Critter-eggs, he gets a message that it would be illegal to extinguish the race from the galaxy. He's sent a transporter where he puts the eggs - unfortunately the transporter takes him with it and then gets lost in space. After 53 deep-frozen years, he's found by a private wreckage collector team under the unscrupulous Rick. On behalf of the mighty company Terracor they bring him to an empty space station - but Rick is curious and opens the box... so Charlie has work again, to keep the Critters from eating everybody. Trivia

There are mostly only two Critters in this movie, and the second one gets a haircut from a laser rifle, in order to separate the looks for both Critters. However this is also an obvious reference to Critters 2 (1988) where one Critters gets a similar haircut from a laser rifle held by a bounty hunter. See more »

Goofs

(at around 9 mins) Although significant dialog and on-screen dating indicate the setting is the year 2045, Ethan's hand-made calendar visibly shows August 2342. See more »

Not bad "Critters" sequel
14 January 1999 | by See all my reviews

The "Critters" sequels are awful and didn't lead up to the fun of the first one, but this sequel lives up to it and is even better. It has a good story, nice visual effects, and a quick pace. The cast are very good in their parts as well, it was especially good seeing Angela Bassett before she became a big name. The ending is pretty pathetic, but it still is a lot of fun and is worth a rent.
