(1991) Rookie FBI agent Johnny Utah (Keanu Reeves) goes undercover as a surf bum to infiltrate a clique of bad boys, led by Zen-surfer and danger junkie Patrick Swayze, who just may be a ring of ruthlessly efficient bank robbers in Kathryn Bigelow's cult action film. Gary Busey at least gives it some grounding as Reeves’ FBI mentor, and at times, the sheer exhilaration and adrenaline make you forget just how silly it is. Lori Petty co-stars.
