Goofs:
Revealing mistakes: During the family massacre scene, one of the children is decapitated, but the "head" is clearly fake. First when it drops down from the table it looks a lot bigger and doesn't have colored eyes (they have the same skin-coloring effect). And secondly when we see the whole room, the head on the floor looks almost pale-white. It's really white actually, and that's weird because the family was "slightly dark" skinned.

Wong Chi Han is not a nice guy. He has a shady past and now he's a restaurant owner serving up his specialty, BBQ pork buns. Although there is no real pork in them. This is a highly disturbing and yes, quite graphic at times in its portrayal of someone that lost all their marbles and has plenty of access to kitchen utensils, especially the sharp ones. This may give you some food for thought about Chinese food in the future and you may never look at a chopstick the same way again. This all takes place on the tiny island of Macau and the cops there don't seem to be too focused on their work, up to a point, but when it becomes more obvious what's going on they seem rather dedicated to getting a confession from this nasty cook. The cops are a rather bumbling lot and seem more caught up in checking out the latest "dates" of their commanding officer than they are in their work. They of course, provide the comic relief. And it is a relief to have a bit of comedy in this gruesome tale, believe me. This is very well done but it's certainly not for anyone with a weak stomach and some of the portrayals of violence and gore will definitely be too much for some. but this is an excellent film and well worth your time, given that you have a sense of adventure and a strong constitution. 9 out of 10.
