  • Crew or equipment visible: Towards the end of the scene where LT is shooting heroin with the redhead, you can see the shadow of a crew member slip into the shot in the lower-right part of the screen.

  • Continuity: In the club, when LT is snorting drugs with the tall guy, the Lords of Acid song "Let's Get High" begins to play (at the middle of the song) right before the scene is cut. Then, in the next scene, LT is in a different part of the club and we hear the same song start playing again, but this time it starts from the very beginning.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Daryl Strawberry hits home run, we see the scoreboard. The score clearly does not match what the announcer then says it is.

  • Revealing mistakes: When the Mets win the pennant, we see the Met catcher roll the ball toward the mound and run toward the dugout. This is obviously the end of an inning, but not the end of a game.

  • Revealing mistakes: Just as the lieutenant is leading the boys into the train station near the end of the film, a cab driver (obviously not a paid extra) is seen waving to the camera.

  • Continuity: At the end when the Lieutenant enters the bus terminal he leaves his car behind the street sign, however when he returns the car has moved forward.

  • Continuity: Before the Lt. drives the rapists to the bus station (when he is parked and points the gun in their faces) he has one in the front seat on the passenger side and the other in the back seat cuffed together . When he arrives at the kerb he opens the rear door on the driver's side and they both slide out of the back seat.

  • Continuity: When the Lieutenant apprehends the two rapists from the crack house, he puts both of them in the back seat. However, when he gets into his car, one of them is in the front seat. Later, when they all get out at the Port Authority Terminal, both are back in the rear seat.

  • Revealing mistakes: When the Lt. stops the car with the two rapists inside, a passerby seen through the driver side window points at the car and can be heard saying "They got a camera."

  • Factual errors: The Mets/Dodgers playoff series the movie is centered around never actually took place. Therefore, the Mets never overcame a 3-0 deficit to win the series. However, it is correct that no team to that point had ever overcome a 3-0 deficit in baseball to win a playoff series. The first time it ever happened was a decade later in 2004, when the Red Sox came back to beat the Yankees.

  • Factual errors: At one point during game 4 of the baseball series the radio announcer says, "the next two games are at Shea." In no seven game series format are games 5 and 6 played at the same stadium.
