Trivia:

The name of the show Kevin is watching in the first scene is a fictional game show called Ding Dang Dong. Appropriately, it was taped on the set of an actual game show called $100,000 Fortune Hunt- Illinois' original lottery game show. The host in that scene is Bob Eubanks from "The Newlywed Game" (1966).

Goofs:

Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Kevin is seen buying fireworks in Chinatown when he first arrives in New York City. It is illegal to buy or sell fireworks in the state of New York, but when this movie was made, that law was not enforced in Chinatown and it was easy to find vendors there selling fireworks illegally while the police looked the other way.

Same plot. Same actors. New traps. No problem.

Home Alone 2 has pretty much the same plot as the first movie, but Home Alone 2 is a very good sequel. The new traps for the Wet, er... Sticky Bandits are great. Once again Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern give wonderful performances. Having Tim Curry in this was also a treat. There is a lot of enjoyment in this movie.
