Peter W. Simeon (31 October 1998):
Except that the colors are slightly shifted towards red, this DVD looks rather good. Only a minimal amount of grain is visible and the anamorphic resolution is very good. The movie is short enough to not cause any problems with compression artifacts.
Peter W. Simeon (31 October 1998):
The soundtrack starts with a very impressive title theme by 'Stanley Clarke' , but after that the sound is not too spectacular. Warner did encode the soundtrack in 5.1, but it was not remixed for stereo surrounds. They just used the 4 channel master which was used to mix the original Dolby Stereo version. For a 1992 movie the sound is good enough, and since it was not originally intended to be in 5.1, there is nothing really to complain about, except that they could have encoded it in 4.0 or 4.1.
