Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

We briefly see a topless woman walk by in profile when the army of skeletons is rallying for an attack. This shot does not seem to be excessively gratuitous, though it's not clearly needed for the plot.

A man and a woman passionately kiss, and then have sex. No nudity is shown aside from a side breast, and this scene is only about 10 seconds long.

A woman is forced to kiss an undead character with a skinless face. The scene is not frightening as much as it is grotesque.

Violence & Gore

- Skeletons attacking a castle, they get chopped by Ash and his knights. Obviously no blood.

- A man is pushed into a pit, and a ridiculous fountain of blood sprays out. Not disturbing at all.

- Ash is trapped inside the pit with a deadite he gets beaten up by it a bit. He gets his chainsaw, and decapitates. Blood sprays on the wall and the head falls down in the water.

- As Ash is on the ground, skeleton hands come out and grab his legs and he falls. They grab his face, and twist his nose and punch him. This scene is intended to be funny.

- Ash shoots a witch with a shotgun, there's no blood.

Profanity

One F-word, a couple S-words. Mild profanity such as "ass" and "damn"

None.

Many weird, fantastical things happen to a man. An object that is never shown follows him through the woods. An army of skeletons and undead invades a castle. A graveyard comes alive and many skeleton hands assault a man walking above. Most of these things are meant to be funny; the skeleton hands assaulting the man evoke slapstick from The Three Stooges.

Early in the movie, the main character uses a chainsaw to cut off his own hand.

A witch pretends to be dead. Suddenly, she wakes up surprisingly. This may be a jump scare.
