• An R2 Uncut Version has been released in Germany.
  
  
• Although the UK cinema version was intact all video releases suffered 2 mins 1 sec of BBFC cuts. Among the cuts were shots of limb breaks, the needle in the eyes scene, the slicing off of Dane's fingers in the door, closeup shots of ingredients used in bomb making equipment, and heavy edits to all scenes featuring closeups and glamorized use of knives.
  
  
• The scene when a man is on fire is shorter on British video and DVD versions. An uncut version of the scene was shown once on British TV involving the man running around for longer and falling down the stairs in its entirety, but the version seen now is a lot shorter; removing or shortening the shots of the man on fire.
  
  
• The UK video version has been cut by 2m 01s for "pervasive and gloating" violence.
  
  
• German retail video and TV version were cut for violence to avoid a "Not under 18" rating.
  
  
• The US Region 1 DVD, amongst others, restores the violence/knife play missing from the UK edition, but it is rumoured there is still some footage that apparently is missing due to MPAA interference.
