  • Continuity: The bandage on Barnes' neck is nowhere near the point where the spike was inserted.

  • Continuity: When Barnes shoots the woman on the train she falls on her back. In a later shot she is shown lying on her stomach.

  • Revealing mistakes: The needle that inserts the tracking device into Barnes' neck clearly slides backwards into the device, making obvious the illusion of sliding into his neck.

  • Crew or equipment visible: The safety cable is visible on Barnes' waist during the fight on the ledge of the skyscraper.

  • Continuity: When Sid 6.7 pulls 'Ed' onto the TV screen, a monitor off to the side shows clearly that the phone lines have already been cut. But a second later, the same monitors show full feedback meters.

  • Continuity: In the shootout, as they run to the roof, Sid pins Parker down behind a girder with gunfire. As he fires, ricochets bounce off the railing around him even though Parker has yet to shoot at him.

  • Continuity: Sid gets his hand blown off by a shotgun, then uses the same hand to leap over the edge of the boxing ring.

  • Revealing mistakes: On the roof top, when Parker tells Sid that they're back in the box, the make-up on Sid's chin is peeling.

  • Continuity: As Madison Carter (Kelly Lynch), is trying to free Parker Barnes (Denzel Washington) from the virtual world at the end of the movie, Barnes' Neural Sens. meter clearly shows at 800 percent, and climbing. The next shot shows a close up of the meter and it is only showing 689 percent, and it climbs up to 800.

  • Continuity: When Sid 6.7 is in the TV studio in front of the blue screen, an on-air shot shows just his head and shoulders superimposed on the skull backdrop, the next shot shows him standing in front of the blue screen with his arms crossed and his right hand holding a gun in a position that should have been clearly visible in the on-air shot, but wasn't.

  • Continuity: When SID cuts his finger after entering reality, he stabs point down with the scalpel, but the shot of his hand shows him slicing it off instead of stabbing.

  • Continuity: SID tests his pain response by cutting the tip of his finger off. When he raises his hand to taste his "blood", the entire finger is gone.

  • Revealing mistakes: After Sid's hand is blown off by a security guard's shotgun in scene at the fight arena: He jumps the fence to escape the ring after he spots Barnes, and you can clearly see the fact that a 'hand' is still present by the way the actor (or stunt double) uses that hand to help hop the fence.

>>> WARNING: Here Be Spoilers <<<

Goofs below here contain information that may give away important plot points. You may not want to read any further if you've not already seen this title.

  • Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: During Barnes' flashback scene where his family is killed in the explosion Barnes sets it off by tripping the laser sensor. When Barnes is blown back by the force of the explosion the stunt wires are clearly visible on Barnes/stunt double.
