Father and son filmmakers Zdenek and Jan Sverak ("Elementary School") are a formidable team in "Kolya", the Czech entry for the foreign language film Oscar derby and a Golden Globe nominee. The elder Zdenek wrote the script and stars, while Jan Sverak exquisitely directs the Miramax release, which screens at the Sundance Film Festival and opens commercially later this month.
