British funnyman Rowan Atkinson's bad motor luck appears to have struck again after his car caught fire in the early hours of Friday.
The auto enthusiast, who found international fame as the hapless Mr Bean, was left with cuts and bruises in August after driving his expensive Audi convertible into a garbage truck outside his home in Northants, England.
And the actor appeared to revert back to his clumsy alter-ego once again when the engine in his vintage racing car burst into flames - while it was parked on a London street.
An onlooker tells WENN, "All the paparazzi were waiting outside Cipriani restaurant for Robert Downey, Jr. to come out when the engine caught on fire just down the street. Rowan lifted up the hood and tried to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher, but ended up having to call for roadside assistance."
Atkinson was later spotted taking luggage out of the vintage Jaguar as he waited for a tow-truck.
The Johnny English star has also had accidents in his $160,000 (£100,000) Aston Martin V8 Zagato and another in his $1 million (£625,000) McLaren F1.

Running Time: 1 hr 27 mins
Rating: PG
Release Date: November 25, 2009
Plot: Based on the novel by Roald Dahl, and written for the screen by Wes Anderson and Noah Baumbach comes the tale of Mr. Fox (Clooney). He tried to change his ways, but still wants to steal chickens and his actions get all the animals in town in trouble, even his own family.
Who’S It For? This film has the rare chance to impress the parents and entertain the kids. If you’re a Wes Anderson fan, you won’t be disappointed. I cuss you not.
Expectations: Rushmore is my favorite Anderson film, and I figured added voice work by Clooney and Streep couldn’t possibly be a negative. Yeah, I was excited.

The UK-based film company plans a sequel to the 2003 Rowan Atkinson-starring spy spoof, as well as a new adaptation of John le Carré's Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
Bad news for anyone who thought that Johnny English's licence had been revoked. The Guardian can exclusively reveal that the bumbling British spy is set for another mission, with Rowan Atkinson in talks to reprise his role from the 2003 comedy.
The Johnny English sequel forms part of a raft of new projects from the UK-based film company Working Title, explained chairman Tim Bevan. Also in the pipeline from the firm behind such global hits as Bridget Jones's Diary and Notting Hill is a film version of John le Carré's Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, to be directed by the Swedish director Tomas Alfredson from a script by Peter Morgan. Alfredson won rave reviews earlier this year for his 80s-set vampire

Starring: (voice) George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Jarvis Cocker, Owen Wilson, Willem Dafoe, Helen McCrory
Once upon a time…we find Mr. Fox (voiced by George Clooney) and Mrs. 'Felicity' Fox (voiced by Meryl Streep) as they prepare to raid a local farm. The heist (orchestrated beautifully to the Beach Boys’ “Heroes and Villains”) is successful – that is until Mr. Fox’s overconfidence causes him to trigger a trap and the two foxes find themselves caught in a cage. Felicity reveals that she is pregnant, and Mr. Fox promises to find much more respectable employment…if they survive! (They obviously do.)
Two human years later (14 years in fox years)…Mr. Fox is now a respectable yet poor newspaper man; he and Felicity now have a grown son named Ash (voiced by Jason Schwartzman). The family lives,

Fun, fun, fun until the Prime Minister takes the T-Bird away Writer/director Richard Curtis may be best known for his writing associated with the .Blackadder Goes Forth. and .Mr. Bean. TV series but he has pulled a rabbit out of the hat with this swinging hit starring the .British Invasion. music that swept the world. The scene is the late 1960.s and the birth of underground radio. That is the radio that plays all those nasty songs that mention spending the night together and other such evil acts. It is also the radio that plays unplayable songs such as the long versions of the Cream songs and maybe even the much revered .Stairway to Heaven.. In any event they

Black Adder Remastered: The Ultimate Edition DVD Review

I am an anglophile. I will own up to that straight out of the gate. I grew up watching every BBC program offered by my local PBS station. That’s how I came to start my lifelong relationship with Monty Python. That’s where my fascination with Red Dwarf began. That’s how I came across Rowan Atkinson’s gem of a series Black Adder. Brit humor fans click to find more after the jump.
I was shocked, utterly dismayed actually, by the number of my friends who consider themselves pop culture princes and princesses and yet weren’t familiar with the masterpiece that is Black Adder. For those similarly uninitiated, Black Adder encompasses four series, each series containing six episodes a piece. Each series is set in a specific time period and follows the Blackadder that lives during that age. While the exact characters differ between series the actor and name stays consistent.

The BBC News site has a video interview in which successful movie scriptwriter Richard Curtis chats about his Doctor Who script, set for broadcast in 2010!
Curtis - whose credits include Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, Love Actually, The Boat That Rocked, the Bridget Jones movies and TV shows Blackadder, The Vicar of Dibley, Mr Bean and much more - gives away a tiny bit of information about the episodes setting but beyond that there's nothing in the way of spoilers.

British funnyman Rowan Atkinson has wrecked his car without even leaving home - the star reportedly smashed up his luxury vehicle on his own driveway.
The actor, who found international fame as the hapless Mr Bean, seems to have taken inspiration from his clumsy alter-ego after he drove his expensive Audi convertible into a dustcart right outside his house in Northants, England.
Atkinson is said to have suffered bruising to his face and ribs following the incident, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.
It's not the first time the Johnny English star has smashed up a luxury car, he has had two minor accidents in his $160,000 (£100,000) Aston Martin V8 Zagato and another in his $1 million (£650,000) McLaren F1.

Play Time Blu Ray Review

The fact that Jacques Tati's Play Time flopped financially and bankrupted its director into never making a film again is proof that pushing the boundaries of what a film can look like and how it can make you feel requires a bit of risk taking and perhaps, even a bit of an ego. In 1968, Play Time was a film that nobody seemed to want, but Tati had the urge to tell the story (or non-story) and ended burying himself in the process. I suppose that's what artists need to do sometimes. It's too bad it has taken all of these years for this masterpiece to finally be recognized as the achievement in fimmaking it truly is.
It's important to note that I went into Play Time with little to no knowledge of what the film was about or the history of the production. I knew it had comedic elements

Movies That Deserve a Second Life: Comedy Edition

Welcome to another edition of Movies That Deserve a Second Life. If you need a refresher on what I’m referring to by “second life,” check out the Action/Adventure Edition. If you’re caught up, read on to see what funny flics I felt were unfairly ignored/disliked upon its release or have been forgotten in the years since its release.
Comedy is almost certainly the most subjective of all genres. What makes one person laugh is guaranteed to make another yawn or wrinkle his/her brow. Some find juvenilia in poor taste while others bust a gut. Everyone claims to have a sense of humor, but almost no one enjoys every type of humor there is, from dry wit and pungent satire to bodily fluid gags and intentionally groan-worthy puns. Therefore, I think it’s safe to say that no one (besides myself) will be satisfied with every choice.

Atkinson Undergoes Hernia Surgery

British actor Rowan Atkinson has pulled out of his role in a West End production of Oliver after undergoing hernia surgery.
The Bean star has been nursing the problem for a while but fell ill earlier this week (beg30Mar09) while enjoying a break from his role as Fagin in the London-based musical.
Atkinson cut short his family holiday to fly back to the U.K. for the operation and will now have to sit out of the production for three weeks while he recovers.
A statement from producers reads, "The problem flared up badly whilst on a break with his family this week. He has cut short his holiday to fly back to have surgery immediately to speed the recovery process.
"The condition, whilst neither serious nor dangerous, is extremely painful and prevents normal movement, making performing impossible."
Atkinson is expected back at work on 27 April.

Richard Curtis has quietly become one of the more reliable comedy writers of this
generation. He wrote for some seminal British comedy series - Not the Nine O'Clock News, The Black
Adder, and Bean - as well as the films Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and Love, Actually,
which he also directed. His new film is The Boat That Rocked, a comedy about a 1960s pirate radio
station that shattered the traditional model of BBC radio.
As you might expect, Curtis attracts another great cast here: Kenneth Branagh, Philip Seymour Hoffman,
Rhys Ifans, Nick Frost, and Bill Nighy, among others. I had hoped this would be out a little earlier in
the year than it will be. Universal has apparently settled on August 28th for a release date.
There are three brand new featurettes for the film, courtesy of Trailer Addict, and they sure make it look like
