  • Continuity: Debi's necklace when Martin first confronts her in the radio station.

  • Factual errors: When DJ-ing, Debbie plays a Specials LP with the Two Tone Label on it. The song she played, Pressure Drop (originally done by Toots and the Maytals), never appeared on any Specials LPs on the Two Tone Label, but on an album released in 1996 called "Specials Today" on Chrysalis Records.

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Martin shuts the Venetian blinds at the radio station, but we see an open set when he sits back down. Those blinds are on a different window.

  • Continuity: The drinks on the table after Martin rearranges them.

  • Continuity: When Martin gets Paul to help him move Felix's corpse, they take him down some steps which have a solid handrail down the middle of them. In one shot they are both one the same side of the railing, but then in the next (immediately after) Martin is on the other side from Paul.

  • Continuity: The convenience store sign is missing in the shot before it falls to the ground after the explosion.

  • Continuity: In the cemetery, Martin removes the cork from the whiskey bottle, leaving some of the foil on the neck. When he upends the bottle, whiskey pours unevenly because the foil is blocking part of the bottle opening. In the next shot there is no foil on the bottleneck and the whiskey pours freely.

  • Continuity: The number of vitamins and the position of the Newspaper on the table in the diner.

  • Continuity: The position of the gift basket on the table in Martins Hotel-Room while he calls his psychiatrist changes between several shots.

  • Continuity: When Martin is flipping through television stations in his hotel room, the TV reveals that two of the channels are muted even though sound for those channels are still heard.

  • Continuity: Despite never turning around nor leaving the main street of Grosse Pointe, Martin passes the same stores twice.

  • Continuity: When Martin arrives in Grosse Pointe, the FBI agents are following him down Lake Shore Drive. Internal shots of the agents in the car show them driving by the same house twice in the background behind the driver.

  • Continuity: In the Ultimart, the clerk is playing Doom 2. The level he is playing switches from Level 30 to Level 1, then Level 8 and back to Level 30, all in a few seconds.

  • Continuity: When Martin first stops in front of the convenience store the shadow from his car shows it is about noon and it is an asphalt street. In the next shot, the front of the store, the shadows indicate a much later time and the street is full of mud and gravel.

  • Continuity: The direction the baby is facing when handed to Martin.

  • Continuity: The position of the shadows change irregularly against the outside of the High School when Martin is talking to his old teacher.

  • Continuity: The View-Master reels on the bed in Debi's room are first face up, then they disapper, finally they end up face down.

  • Continuity: At Debi's house, Martin's baseball cap is taken off and put on one of her bed posts. After they do the "airplane" and he is leaving, it's in his back pocket even though no one took it down.

  • Continuity: When Martin picks up Debbie to take her to the reunion he is holding flowers upright behind his back. When seen from her point of view, the flowers are upside down.

  • Continuity: Martin's "empty" gun in his right hand is not empty after the NSA shootout.

  • Continuity: While Martin and Debbie are dancing, Arlene Joseph is on the dance floor by the stage. When Felix La PuBelle comes in to claim Sidney Feldman's nametag, Arlene is manning the check-in table. Cut immediately to the next shot, Arlene is back on the dance floor by the stage.

  • Continuity: When Martin kicks down the door in the Miami hotel and shoots the man in the stomach, the slide on his Glock is locked back (empty). When he puts the gun to the mans face the slide is forward and there is another bullet in the chamber.

  • Errors in geography: When Martin is in the car with Mr. Newberry, palm trees are clearly visible in the background. There are no palm trees in Detroit.

  • Continuity: In the restaurant where a woman talks to Blank, she puts her beret on the table and it falls off of the edge off the edge. In a subsequent shot, it has returned to the table without having been picked up.

  • Continuity: In the beginning Mr. Grocer comes out of the hotel and shoots everyone. He has two revolvers which contain six shots each but he fires more than 20 shots without reloading.

  • Crew or equipment visible: During the introducing shots of Grosse Pointe there is a shot of a boat, you can see the helicopter blades on the very top of the screen.

  • Revealing mistakes: After the Ultimart blows up, Martin gets in is car which is parked across the street and calls Debbie. The reflection on his car does not show the Ultimart across the street in flames.

  • Continuity: While in the bar the lime slice in Martin's drink keeps switching from one side of the glass to the other side of the glass even though he never touches the glass the whole time.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: All throughout the movie, the gunfire and muzzle flashes don't always match.

  • Continuity: When Martin is on the landline phone in the hotel room before leaving for the reunion, he hangs up the phone with the cord of the receiver hung on the right. Moments later when Felix enters the room and sees the reunion invitation next to the phone, the cord is hanging on the left.

  • Continuity: When Debbie is reclining on the bed, chatting to Martin, her sleeves move up and down between shots.

  • Continuity: Martin is shown entering the Ultimart convenience store twice.

  • Factual errors: Dr. Oatman describes the Energizer Bunny from the battery commercials as playing cymbals, but in fact he plays a bass drum.

  • Continuity: During the microwave bomb scene at the Ultimart the last time we see the microwave it shows 4 seconds left before the bomb will detonate. It takes 10 seconds for that last 4 seconds to elapse.

  • Continuity: Martin's phone changes. Early in the movie when he meets with Grocer, he has a small cellphone with a flip down section. However once Grocer leaves, he picks up the same phone and it is now a much bigger one piece phone.

  • Revealing mistakes: The microwave oven bomb detonates when the timer reaches zero, even though the bomb is not wired to the microwave timer.

  • Revealing mistakes: The arcade game that the Ultimart employee is playing during the shootout is the aptly titled classic Doom II. The game was never actually available in a commercial arcade cabinet and must have been constructed specially for the film.

  • Continuity: While Martin and Debbi are talking in the radio station, the length of the middle pendant of Debbi's neck lass continues to change from camera angle to camera angle
