This DVD is overall disappointing. Not only is the image pretty fuzzy for a 16:9 enhanced disc, but it is also hampered by noise like many other Warner titles. Many scenes are affected and at times it's pretty distracting.
The film master, contrast and color are pretty good, though. The compression suffers from a rather low bit rate for a dual layer DVD and from the noise. Compression artifacts are visible in most scenes. Some video artifacts are present, too (ringing artifacts and some aliasing).
"Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" is certainly not a highlight in the Warner catalogue.
