The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .

Sex & Nudity

A scene where a man draws a woman nude, you briefly see her breasts and buttocks.

Two people are out of breath and sweaty after having sex, no nudity is shown.

Many drawings of nude women showing breasts.

Violence & Gore

Some scuffles, a face slap, some face punches (one resulting in a bloody nose). A man is hit in the abdomen. Titanic hits the iceberg which results in rioting, threatening with guns, drownings and people falling down with audible thuds and into frigid water. Several chases. A man is shot and killed with blood coming out of his mouth and bloody spots on his life-jacket. A man shoots himself in the head (no blood). A man is electrocuted. Blood is seen on a man's face. Many floating, frozen bodies. During the sinking of the Titanic people are crushed by a falling funnel, many people drown. When Titanic breaks apart, the stern smashes into people swimming in the waters below with the idea of many people being crushed. Rose says that Cal commited suicide after the sinking.

Profanity

One F-word, one profane hand gesture, many British expletives, a few anatomical references, many scatological references and mild obscenities.

We see several characters drinking. One man is so drunk he is unable to stand on his own.

We see many people smoking. (Note that most of this film is set in 1912.)

A man is handcuffed to a pole as the ship sinks. His lover saves him at the last moment chopping the handcuffs off with an axe with her eyes closed in fear.

The story of two lovers ends in tragedy. The young man develops hypothermia and dies before our eyes
