Producer Jeremy Bolt, currently in Toronto shooting the 3D Resident Evil 4: Afterlife has confirmed he is planning to use the same 3D camera system director James Cameron utelized in the Fox feature Avatar, for a fresh take on the classic public domain novel "The Three Musketeers", by author Alexandre Dumas.
"Yes, it will be Three in 3D," said Bolt about Three Musketeers.
"We've learned so much from this film (Afterlife), it would be a pity not to build on that...We have a script ready to go...so we'll probably be shooting (Three Musketeers) in late summer..."
"The Three Musketeers" recounts the adventures of 'd'Artagnan' after he leaves home to become a guard of the king's 'musketeers'.
The 'three' musketeers' of the title are 'Athos', 'Porthos' and 'Aramis', inseparable friends who live by the motto "all for one, one for all".

When it rains, it pours. After I was pleasantly surprised by the hyper-gory and hyper-fun House of the Dead: Overkill, I was treated to not one, but two more horror-based rail gun shooters. The first being EA's space-horror prequel Dead Space: Extraction, and the second being Capcom's latest entry into their Resident Evil Chronicles series, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles.
After the sadly lukewarm reception for its predecessor, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, I didn't have particularly high hopes for Darkside, which takes snippets of story from Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica and mixes them with a new backstory that follows Leon Kennedy through a South American village. 'Resident Evil: Afterlife' Delay Really Happening

It seems that fans have to wait a little longer to see Milla Jovovich's Alice returning to big screen. Despite the actress' claim that "Resident Evil: Afterlife" was still scheduled for an August 27, 2010 release date, Screen Gems has provided several sites with a release schedule which mentions that the film is now slated to hit theaters on January 14, 2011. To fill the empty slot, the studio has moved up vampire thriller "Priest" starring Paul Bettany from its original release date on October 1, 2010.
As it has been reported before, the reason for the delay is to give more time to director Paul W.S. Anderson to complete the fourth installment of "Resident Evil" film franchise in post-production. With the new release date, this upcoming zombie movie will compete with MGM's thriller "The Cabin in the Woods", which was pushed back from 2010 so it can be formatted for 3D.

Horror Developments: New Shooting on Elm Street; Halloween 3D Uncertainty;

What sort of shape is the Platinum Dunes remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street in right now? Vague reports of test screenings suggest that the film as it currently stands may not be so hot. What we do know is that Dunes has been casting roles for at least one new scene that is shooting now.
The scene takes place in the diner where main character Nancy works, and could be anything from a minor beat meant to smooth out some of the storytelling (likely) to a substantial piece of new footage. I'm thinking at the moment this isn't anything to make too much of, but I'm not overly optimistic towards the film in the first place. This can only help. [SpoilerTV]
After the break, news on Halloween 3D, the next Resident Evil and Priest.

The fourth Resident Evil movie, subtitled Afterlife, may have hit a snag. Shock Till Ya Drop reports that the 3-D needed to make the film ("needed" is a negotiable word in this instance, I'll grant you) might
be causing a few problems with the production, although it's nothing that can't be ironed out with just a little more time.
Instead of an August 2010 release date, Shock says it may wait until January 2011. That's now been confirmed by the studio: 1.14.11. Ah, January, the dead zone. What better time for
a movie with the undead, really?

Resident Evil: Afterlife On The Move?

3D might be slowly overcoming its gimmicky status in cinema (though we're still not 100% convinced), but it seems to be leading to another issue - lengthy post-production periods delaying movies. The latest apparent victim? Resident Evil: Afterlife.Yes, with Paul Ws Anderson shooting the latest Resident Evil franchise outing in 3D, Sony is now likely to delay the film's release from the planned August 2010 Us date to give the director and his post-production team more time to finish the thing.Ironically, the rumoured move to January 2011 would put it into direct competition with Joss Whedon's horror Cabin In The Woods, which itself was delayed so 3D tweaks could be applied.Star Milla Jovovich, however, immediately jumped onto Twitter to downplay the likelihood of the move: "Re Afterlife Is Not officially pushed. There have been talks of pushing it as they are not sure they can have it ready by July.

The saying goes "Don't mess with Texas!" and although she may be based out of Chicago now, you'd still be well advised not to mess with native Texan Deneen Melody! This former ballerina-turned-horror actress is not just an actress; she's also a model who's learning to do her own stunt work! Now Deneen is taking a break from learning how to fight on screen to talk with Pretty Scary about her new projects, why she gave up ballet, and why some people may call her a nerd (but not to her face, remember she's learning to fight!)...
Deneen, how did you get your start as an actress?
Well, before I got into film, I was actually a ballet dancer. Unfortunately, when I was 16, I broke my left foot during a performance. It was

Handy Manny gets a lot of TV time at my house and the hit Disney show is easily the most tolerable. Demonstrating messages of teamwork, being respectful, how to be neighborly and teaching a handful of Spanish words, Handy Manny is far more fun than its Nickelodeon counterpart Dora the Explorer.
In Handy Manny: Motorcycle Adventure, Manny’s first “full length feature,” (and we use the term lightly), Manny and his talking tools head for a family reunion which guarantees that the story will focus on the true meaning of family. En route, Pat the hammer starts to ponder his own family and getting to know other hammers that look like him. Mistaking a logo with a hammer on it as family, Pat, along with a few of his tool pals, accidentally become separated from Manny. But Manny, being the cool cat that he is, takes a detour from
