What is outside the Cube?

It has never been revealed. There are many theories as to it though. Some people think that people are placed in the cube after they die, and if you make it out of the cube you enter Heaven, but if you can't make it out you are damned to Hell. Others think aliens put them there. There is an official movie poster showing the cube floating above the ocean on a sunny day. To this day it is unclear what is outside the cube.
