Firstly I am not here to bash this show nor Paul Hogan. I do think the man has talents at comic timing and other such stuff, so no I am not going to attack the man's talents. My biggest problem is that the writing of this show is pretty weak at it's best.
What I mean is that the show doesn't really have that many funny sketches. I guess it's like Are You Being Served in the sense that you might have actually lived around the time to get half of the jokes. Either that or the type of humour in this show is pretty much something made silly.
What I mean is that one of the skits that plays a lot when this gets broad-casted is a parody of 60 Minutes (about time!) and the focus is that women on beaches are accidentally flashing men and therefore having heart attacks. Is that supposed to be satirizing the fact that the stories on programs like that are almost as ridiculous? If it is then it worked but it wasn't really that funny.
So as I said, this isn't really that funny but I'm not attacking the comedy of Paul Hogan and more the writing of this show as just something made silly. If silly humour is your thing then this show is perfect for you. If it isn't then I don't think you'll like this show at all.
