Pat Barrington is the only thing watchable here!, 10 August 2008
4/10
Author: James Meeley from United States

Despite whatever pretext "All the Way Down" has in terms of plot or a coherent story, in truth is it merely a showcase piece for that sultry silicone siren of the 60's, Pat Barrington, to use her "moneymakers" and do what she does best... dance and arouse others.

The basic story here is about a sleazy strip club talent scout (played by Joe Weldon), who convinces a busty but "principled" waitress (played by Pat Barrington) to fill in on stage, when some of the shows other stars fail to go on. But when she becomes too popular with the audience, the others girls take drastic steps to put her in her place, by using whip cream and some lesbian sex, of course.

This is hardly in the realm of what one would call "good," even by the standards of 60's sexploitation films. There is virtually no dialog, save a badly done voice over by Joe Weldon, which is pretty much spelling out the plot for you as you go along. The film is filled with some jumpy cuts and bad scene edits. It's just really poorly produced. The only saving grace of the film is Pat Barrington herself. Her dance routines and voluptuous curves are the only thing that keep your attention. She shows just why she was one of the supreme smut starlets of the 60's here, as she turns what would be a horrid affair into something with a modicum of entertainment value, due solely to her dance skill and physical attributes. Her one belly dancing routine is particularly good.

In the end, "All the Way Down" isn't really a film any aficionados of the old drive-in skin-flicks should feel the need to seek out. However, if you are a fan of the lusciously ample Pat Barrington, the film is worth a view just for her performance alone. She is a sole ray of sensual light, in an otherwise dark tunnel of poorly done sexploitation.
