The game (like many American movies) uses phone numbers starting with 555 which are invalid in the US. However in Germany numbers starting with 555 do exist.

Goofs:

Factual errors: When Gabriel asks his lawyer about the "Koeniglich Bayrische Hofjagdloge" his pronunciation is so bad that not even German native speakers could understand a single word of it. However Gabriel's lawyer does, although he admits he never heard that term before.

Wonderful story! Excellent acting!

Even if you are not into computer adventure games, I assure you it's worth it to play this one so you could watch all those great FMV! Especially Peter Lucas as Von Glower! Trust me, it's you loss if you miss his performance as the charismatic baron. And the story itself is first class!
