  • The title is taken from the Paul Simon song - "Still Crazy After All These Years".

  • While Strange Fruit are playing their gig in Holland, a small billboard can be seen advertising the shows of "Van Dijk" and "Dik Hout", pointing at the bands "De Dijk" and "Van Dik Hout", two famous Dutch rockbands.

  • The "Druid Circle" they visit actually a real life stone circle in the village of Avebury. The circle is known as "Avebury Circle" and the pub they visit in the film is still there and operating.

  • Some events in the band's history were inspired by actual events involving real-life bands: Brian's absence from the band resembles Syd Barrett's departure from Pink Floyd due to a drug-induced nervous breakdown; Beano's tardiness for a gig echoes that of Keith Moon, the notoriously erratic drummer for The Who. The character of Ray appears to be inspired in some part by David Lee Roth, famed front-man for Van Halen. Other band such as Deep Purple have undergone lineup changes with various degrees of infighting and success.

  • Glasgow band The Fratellis named their debut CD after a line where has-been rocker Tony Costello answers his phone like it's a business phone: "Costello Music".

  • First cinema film of Mackenzie Crook.
