Continuity: The final shoot out is said to take place at "High Noon" and the clock in the background rings 12 times, but the shadows are far too long, indicating early morning or late evening.
Factual errors: Drains have traps, thus making it impossible to shoot someone through them.
Continuity: Before killing the hunters, Ghost Dog turns off his car by turning the key in the ignition. When he stole the car, however, he used an electronic device to override the ignition.
Continuity: The third mafia man has bloodstains before Ghost Dog shoots him
Revealing mistakes: When Louie is saving Ghost Dog from the thugs beating him up, he shoots the pistol that he has, but the slide does not move to eject the spent cartridge when he fires the gun.
Revealing mistakes: When Ghost Dog shoots Handsome Frank, Ghost Dog points his gun with a laser pointer at him. After he shoots Frank for the first time, the laser beam can be seen and the we can see where it's coming from, and the line created by the beam comes from somewhere from the right and not from where Ghost Dog is with his gun (behind the camera).
Revealing mistakes: In the confrontation between Ghost Dog and Mr. Vargo just before Mr. Vargo is shot, two small irregular patches can be seen on Mr. Vargo's left lapel where the tiny charges are set that will simulate gunshots.
Revealing mistakes: When Ghost Dog kills the first person, the laser pointer does not come from his gun, but from somewhere on the right of the screen.
Revealing mistakes: When Ghost Dog steals the second car, we see the instruments on the dashboard. As he flicks the ignition switch with his code-breaking gizmo the engine starts; still the needle on the tachometer does not move.
Continuity: When Ray is riding in the limo watching cartoons, he starts out with two flowers in lapel, then he only has one.
Miscellaneous: When Ghostdog was driving his first stolen car, the in-car scenes show the headlight on. But during the outside shots, it shows the headlight off, only the dimmer driving light on. Then later when he parked, it shows the headlight on again.
Factual errors: The Pit Bull that always follows Ghost Dog around is referred to as a "He" when in fact it is a she.
Factual errors: In the scene where Ghost Dog practices his kenjutsu (sword technique), his sword is tucked into his sash with the curve of the blade pointed downwards. In the majority of iaijutsu (sword drawing) styles, the sword is tucked into the belt with the curve of the blade pointed upward, so that the act of drawing the sword from the scabbard (saya) can also serve as the first cut (kiri).
Revealing mistakes: When Louie is driving from the mansion, at several times it is obvious that he is not really driving the car. When the car is going straight ahead, he often turns the wheel, and vice versa. This is most obvious just after Vinnie has died, and Louie is asking "Vin? Hey, Vin, you with me over there?". The car is then going through a 90 degree bend in the road, but Louie does not move the steering wheel at all.
