Columbia Pictures is developing an untitled bounty hunter comedy and are in negotiations with Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler to star, report the trades. Andy Tennant is attached to direct the flick, which centers on a bounty hunter (Butler) hired to retrieve his ex-wife (Aniston), who has skipped bail. Sarah Thorp, whose most recent big screen credit was the Ashley Judd thriller Twisted, penned the script. Tennant’s credits include Fool’s Gold, Sweet Home Alabama, Hitch, Anna and the King, Fools Rush In and Ever After. He is also attached to direct Chasing Harry Winston, an adaptation of Lauren Weisberger’s best-selling novel. Neal Moritz (Made of Honor, Vantage Point) is producing through his Sony-based Original Films shingle. The studio is eyeing a May start date. Bai Ling pleaded guilty Wednesday to disturbing the peace in a case stemming from her arrest at Lax for stealing two Star magazines and a package of batteries, totaling $16.22. Although she was formally charged with petty theft Monday, prosecutors agreed to let Bai plead to the alternative charge, said L.A. City Attorney rep Frank Mateljan. The actress was ordered to pay a fine and penalties totaling $700.
