Parents Guide for
Zoolander (2001) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

We see Zoolander getting a massage, with a rather homely woman then smacking his towel-covered butt. When he rolls over onto his back, we see an obvious erection under the sheet, as does the masseuse. She then takes two tiny broom-like objects and tries to touch the erection, but it moves around under the towel, seemingly trying to avoid being touched.

There is one scene with Derek, Hansel and Matilda and a couple of others that is an implied sex scene but no nudity.

Violence & Gore

A scene with characters flinging gasoline from the hoses onto each other followed by an explosion ignited by a cigarette.

Some scenes of people having guns pointed at each other, some fight scenes with characters punched.

Profanity

At least 8 "s" words, 2 slang terms using male genitals ("d*ck" and "wiener"), 7 asses, 4 damns, 2 craps, 2 hells, 3 uses each of "For Christ's sakes" and "G-damn" and 1 use of "Dear God" as exclamations.

A character comments about tripping on acid for the past two weeks. A scene includes a possible cannabis plant in the background.

Some themes of hypnosis and brain washing which some may find disturbing.
