Jason Reitman wasn't bluffing yesterday when he said he would be carrying the Olympic Torch through Toronto, and he's got a picture up to prove it today. Selecting the Twitter Pic of the Day wasn't easy this afternoon, considering Reitman's post was accompanied by Eliza Dushku's shot of the "Dollhouse" wrap party, a view of "New Moon" actress Christian Serratos' latest photo shoot and a 2003 photo from Roger Ebert that appears to show Bob Dylan with blond hair.
Click on down, and you'll find all of those posts, as well as a few reactions to James Cameron's "Avatar," what Liv Tyler did inside Rainn Wilson's car and the celebratory gift Eli Roth plans on sending his fellow "Inglourious Basterds" actors in honor of their SAG Award nomination. It's all retweeted in the Twitter-Wood report for December 17, 2009.

Demi Moore exits a Ferrari Enzo in 2003's Charlie's Angels II: Full Throttle.
The Aughties (ugh) were an incredible decade for film—if you like superheroes and comic books, romances based on 19th Century fiction, the apocalypse, brah-com, or fragmented narratives of disparate people crashing into each other. Personally, I hate most of this shit. But if you’re into the kind of stellar goodbad films that I admire, and you happen to like cars, you’re in luck, because what we have here is a gorgeous slide show of the best vehicles in the bestworst movies of the 2000s. Brett Berk writes Stick Shift, Vf.com's gay car blog. Visit him at brettberk.com 2000 Bring it On, Jeep Grand Wagoneer. The decade got kicked off right with this genius cheerleading movie, a proto-Glee that features a rag-tag bunch of losers united in a love of choreography and personal harmony.

Zoey, Francis, Bill, and Louis are about to meet up with Coach, Ellis, Nick, and Rochelle by way of an all-new meaty bit of downloadable content for Left 4 Dead 2 coming next spring for the Xbox 360 and PC. As if you needed another reason to buy and play this incredible game!
Valve has announced that the new content, known as "The Passing," will be the first game add-on for Left 4 Dead 2, and it will bring the original Left 4 Dead survivors down South for a meeting with our new heroes, while delivering new single-player, multi-player and co-operative gameplay for the PC and Xbox 360.
"The Passing" will take place just after the "Dead Center" campaign of L4D2. Set in a small town in rural Georgia, players assume the role of the L4D2 Survivors as they meet with the L4D1 characters.
In addition to the new co-operative campaign and associated narrative,

This past week, James Cameron has been attending premieres and doing press like crazy for his little independent movie called "Avatar" or something like that. Not sure what it's about. I've never even seen a trailer.Anyway, Jim Dorey conducted an audio interview with Mr. Cameron over on his blog, which is dedicated to all things 3-D. Cameron had a lot to say on the technical specifics of "Avatar," but here's some interesting info he revealed about upcoming projects:
15:10 Cameron avoids discussing whether Avatar 2 and 3 takes place on or off Pandora. 15:40 Sam Worthington is signed up for sequels "by his excitement; he wants to do another one". Zoe Saldana wants to do another one too. Cameron realizes option deals are subject to many conditions.16:20 On Battle Angel: "I am not even sure that I am going to do that film". And he has no one in mind for casting.

Report: Matt Damon to Guest Star on 30 Rock

30 Rock sure brings in the star power with its guest appearances.
Al Gore, Julianne Moore, Betty White, Edie Falco and many, many others have graced the set of NBC's hilarious comedy. Now, a day after we learned that Elizabeth Banks has signed on as a love interest for Jack, Tina Fey may have just scored another huge name:
Matt Damon.
According to EW, that's the rumor going around, and we already know he'd be down.
Asked about a potential Rock guest role at the premiere of Invictus, Damon said:
"I would do [30 Rock] in a heartbeat if they asked me to come on ... Let’s make this happen. Tina is a brilliant comedy writer. My wife and I download that show in bulk. We love that show, so if [Tina Fey] has a part for me, I’m absolutely game."
Bring it on, Tina, and let the inane 30 Rock quotes follow.

Glee recap (1.13): "Sectionals"

Okay, the show was back in top form tonight and I'm more
bummed than ever that it won't be back until Spring. But we'll have time for
public mourning at the end of the recap.
The episode was hitting all the right notes for me from the
first scene this week. Rachel, it
seems, has noticed that Puck seems
overly attentive to Quinn these
days. The other Glee kids, who all know that Puck is the baby daddy, don't want
Rachel to know because they know she'd tell Finn, which would blow their chances of winning Sectionals.
So they
conspire to keep it from her in a fantastically clever split screen scene with
everybody talking on cell phones. There are so many delicious little moments in
this scene, but my favorite two were, first, how it started off with Mercedes and Tina walking down the hall talking to each other on their phones.

Well, Gleeks, we finally made it to "Sectionals," the fall finale! Did you think it was worth the wait?
Spoilers Ahead if you haven't seen tonight's episode.
I, for one, nearly cried five times: Mercedes' solo, Rachel's solo, Mr. Schue on the phone hearing the gang perform at sectionals, and the two Will-Emma scenes.
Here are my picks of best lines of the night:
Puck: "Does it have to be tonight? Because I have my fight club."
Emma (on her wedding): "We just pushed it back a few hours. Now it doesn't have to happen in broad daylight."

Two Million. That's how many copies of Valve's Left 4 Dead 2 have been sold since the game's release just two weeks ago. Can you imagine collectively how many zombies have been slain? Staggering!
The company points out these results are for retail copies only, and not digital copies downloaded from Steam, making this news even more impressive.
"Left 4 Dead 2 is off to a great start with strong support at retail and great reviews from the press," said Doug Lombardi, VP of marketing at Valve. "Meanwhile the title has already been played by over 1 million Xbox Live Gold account holders, and news regarding L4D2 Dlc 1 is coming very soon."

Vanessa Hudgens is featured in a new bloopers clip which sees the mistakes Neutrogena's spokesmodels had made when filming commercials for the famous skin care products. Brought forth by Just Jared Jr., the short video offers a look at the "High School Musical" actress giggling and bouncing when noticing that she has made errors.
In addition to the Zac Efron's girlfriend, those included in the clip are "Hotel for Dogs" beauty Emma Roberts, "Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere, "Bring It On" actress Gabrielle Union, and former Miss USA Susie Castillo. All of them are seen showing off various face expressions upon realizing the mistakes they made during the filming.
Vanessa Hudgens made her break for her portrayal of Gabriella Montez in "High School Musical" series. Last seen reprising the character in "High School Musical 3: Senior Year", the 20-year-old had released her new musical film "Bandslam" in U.S. theaters in August.

Dave here, popping in to offer thoughts on a sliver of 2001's cinematic offerings as per Nat's request.
As a movie, crazy/beautiful isn't nearly as offbeat as its uncapitalized title and forward-slash want to suggest - the arc of the story is effortlessly predictable and the social divisions between the couple are often drawn in laughably implausible ways. But it marks itself out as a movie worth watching by having Kirsten Dunst burning a hole through the screen throughout. She seems to have been missing from the movies lately, which probably makes a lot of people quite happy... but I don't count myself as one of them. Her performance as Nicole in crazy/beautiful was perhaps the first time her charisma, as seen from her debut in 1994's Interview with a Vampire to 2000's energetic Bring It On, was backed up by blindingly evident acting chops.

Advance Review - The Crazies (Remake; 2010)

Remakes fall into two categories, "Wow" and "Why did they bother". Sadly, the "Wow"s are few and far between.
For every Zack Snyder's Dawn Of The Dead or David Cronenberg's The Fly, there's five Gus Van Sant's Psycho. Breck Eisner's The Crazies clearly falls into the "Wow" category. A fast-moving, exciting thrill ride that builds to a flat-out apocalyptic conclusion, this Crazies also has a healthy respect for the George A. Romero original even as it goes off in it's own direction.
David (Timothy Olyphant) is the Sheriff of Ogden Marsh, a small midwestern town. Judy, his doctor wife (Radha Mitchell), is pregnant and everything seems idyllic until a townsperson carries a loaded shotgun to a little league game. From that point on, the two realize the locals of their beloved little town are going insane. Government help is Not helpful, as fighter planes and gun-toting

Cancelling "Dollhouse" disappointed a lot of Joss Whedon fans when Fox announced that it had pulled the plug, but Eliza Dushku felt the brunt of the decision as hard as anyone. She faced her Twitter followers with the news today and a sad smiley.
Mike Tyson, meanwhile, reportedly faced a paparazzo, landing at least one good punch, and Kirstie Alley has his back in Twitter-Wood. There were a few great pics today in the feed, too, including a shot from MoMA's new Tim Burton exhibit and Sarah Silverman's birthday tribute to her show's multi-talented producer, director and writer Rob Schrab, better known to any comic book readers out there as the creator of "Scud: The Disposable Assassin." Some might say it's too early to have a career retrospective for Tim Burton, which the Museum of Modern Art in NYC will be hosting from November 22, 2009 to April 26, 2010, but I say, "Bring it on!" The more Tim, the better. And naturally, the commercial promoting this must-see exhibition is directed by Burton and scored by his longtime collaborator Danny Elfman.
The exhibition will include Burton's sketches, films, a book signing, and a special film series called "Tim Burton and the Lurid Beauty of Monsters" "that have influenced, inspired, and intrigued Burton, and which reflect the motifs, themes, and sensibilities of his work."
For more info on the exhibit, go to the official MoMa website. Meanwhile, you can check out the commercial after the jump, or read some previous goodies on Mr. Burton, like this gallery of Tim Burton art, an interview with him at Comic-Con, and the extended trailer for Alice in Wonderland.

When "Twilight" cast members began tweeting about subjects involving missing clothing, I definitely did not expect to log on to Twitter today and find out that Christian Serratos decided to outdo all of them, but but her new garment-less PETA ad definitely succeeded.

Yankees supporters were out in force last night, and a few Twitter-Wood citizens were right by the field uploading pics. Brody Stevens may have shot the most enviable of the day, apparently getting soon-to-be-mvp Hideki Matsui in the dugout before the game. Jeremy Piven caught another high-quality photo-op, though, standing with his fellow Chicagoan Brian Urlacher.
Poor John Favreau was stuck in the editing room for "Iron Man 2," though, which he noted on his account. Larry King, Eliza Dushku and other added their thoughts after Phillies finally went down. It's always interesting to see which films remained at the forefront of our memory and which fade... both for a variety of reasons, quality being only one factor. New comments are in red.
Please note: This list was based on NYC release dates in the year 2000. Some movies are listed as different years at the IMDb based on when they were released in their home country or in La or whatnot.
Runners Up (in descending order): Une Liaisons Pornographique, Nurse Betty, You Can Count On Me, Before Night Falls, Pola X, Chicken Run, American Psycho, Wonder Boys and Billy Elliott Um... What The Hell are some of these movies doing outside the top ten list? You Can Count on Me
