Experimentation, 21 September 2002
Author: jimbles from upstate NY

Fincher has played around with the conventional format of film since day one. This movie is like the stage play you could never stage. Very few characters, a simple plot and all the elements of a thriller that you'll ever need. It takes a while to get over the CGI effects at the beginning, but once you get past that (as, it seems, does Fincher) the film really takes off. This went right into my Top 10. Watch it yourself and you'll figure why. This will be a film that directors and actors make reference to in 20 years.
