  • Continuity: After Bonham falls off the cliff, he is hanging only a few feet above the rapids, but when he unleashes himself, he falls a much longer distance into the water.

  • Errors in geography: The Metro-Area Express (MAX) is shown running on the Hawthorne Bridge. The MAX actually runs along the Steel Bridge which overlooks less-colorful scenery.

  • Continuity: When Aaron Hallam is stuck in traffic, he smashes his car head-on into several cars so that the hood is badly damaged. But when he gets out of the car near the bridge, the hood is completely intact.

  • Revealing mistakes: When L.T is on top of the MAX train chasing Aaron, there is the "click-clack-click-clack" sound of a train, but when the camera shows the deck of the bridge behind and in front of the "train" you can see that there are no tracks (the Hawthorne Bridge carries cars, not trains). Tracks are only shown when the "train" makes an emergency stop before Aaron climbs up the bridge. Even then, the tracks are merely shiny strips of metal unevenly laid upon the bridge's metal grating, with no grooves for the wheels at all in the surface.

  • Continuity: The amount of dirt on Hallam's face during his first fight with Bonham.

  • Continuity: Abby Durrell's hair-do changes throughout the movie (from dark-blond curly to brown straight and sometimes curly) though the actual plot only covers a couple of days.

  • Continuity: When Aaron steals the car, damages the front, but later, when some people are inspecting the engine, there is no visible damage.

  • Continuity: During the final fight, LT repeatedly punches Aaron's injured arm. The roped, injured, arm swaps from left to right frequently.

  • Revealing mistakes: The wire used to pull the spike out of Bonham's leg when he's impaled on the cliff is seen as it whizzes by. The scene was first shot pulling the spike out, then played in reverse to achieve the desired effect.

  • Revealing mistakes: During Bonham's exploration of Irene's house, the timid cat on the bed upstairs is being restrained by a thin cable from underneath the cover. When the cat is panned into view, the cable is clearly seen being released, allowing the camera-shy feline to seek safety behind the pillow.

  • Continuity: When Aaron is first standing in Irene's kitchen, she walks over to him and puts her hand on his back. In the next shot her hand is on his shoulder.

  • Continuity: After LT pulls the stake out of the bloody leg of the coyote/wolf the animal runs away with a completely white leg.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): During the confrontation between Aaron and the hunters they all refer to hunting "deer" when the animal shown is clearly an elk.

  • Continuity: During the last chase scene, Bonham arrives at the area where Hallam recreated his knife. At the time, his hair is wet, but when he enters the wooded area, his hair is dry.

  • Errors in geography: There is no Spanish moss in Oregon, nor elk in Louisiana.

  • Continuity: The sweat mark on Bonham's back while chasing Hallman through the underground tunnel changes several times between shots.

  • Revealing mistakes: In the final "tracking" scene where Bonham is searching the woods for Hallum, Bonham sets off a trap where two spiked logs come smashing together. In the scene his reaction is to step back out of the way. Immediately after, the scene cuts to him lunging on the ground. At this moment, one can look in the background and see a boulder with a rope tied around it instead.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Bonham is first looking for Hallum after the two "sweepers" have been killed, he comes upon the remnants of the snare Hallum used. In the scene where the sweeper is caught by the snare, one can see it's made from 550 (parachute) cord. It is also 550 cord when Bonham tugs on it attached to the tree. However, the loop section of the snare that Bonham picks up with the stick is obviously constructed of wire.

  • Anachronisms: When the Department of Defense comes to take custody of Hallam, the letter used to give them jurisdiction, addressed to the FBI agent in charge, is dated "March 5th 2001." The events of the movie take place in 2003.

  • Continuity: At the beginning, just after LT takes the snare off the wolf's bloody foot, a shot is shown of the wolf leaving, only without any blood on its leg.

  • Continuity: When Hallam quenches his new, red-hot knife in the stream, a jump cut is visible and the knife is no longer red-hot. Indeed, quenching steel in water takes considerably longer than the few seconds shown in the film (possibly why it was cut).
