Jason Musante Klein's 10-minute short film The Perfect Time was just named the winner of the 2009 Stella Artois Short Film Award Project. The Belgian lager company and Kevin Spacey's Trigger Street Productions co-sponsored the competition (talk about paying it forward!), which featured a panel of glitzy A-list judges such as Laurence "Morpheus" Fishburne, Borat's Sacha Baron Cohen, Dame Judi Dench, "You're Beautiful" songwriter James Blunt, and, of course, Oscar-winner Spacey himself. The newly-minted winner is a native of upstate New York and attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a Bfa in Film/TV Production. »

Bridges has had a long acting career, getting his unofficial start as an infant in the 1950 melodrama The Company She Keeps. At nine years old, Bridges began working in television with small roles in various shows over the next several years.
His first major role came in 1971, at the age of 22, in the film The Last Picture Show. The coming of age flick was a stellar debut for Bridges, earning him »

So last month Eddie Izzard came to my show and then we had dinner and he's really into Twitter and decided to do an impromptu show at the Bleecker Street Theater only announced on Twitter. Anyway, it sold out in like 5 minutes and I got to go. And then at the end, we did "An Awkward 10 Minutes" like we do at the end of "Sleepwalk With Me" every Friday. Turns out someone video'd it with their phone or their beeper or their apple bong or whatever and and now's it's on Youtube. Enjoy. (brief background: Kevin Spacey was in the audience, which is why I reference the movie "K-Pax") ... »

Even though Bond series producer Michael G Wilson recently revealed at the Bradford International Film Festival that "there had been no significant work done on the next entry," the rumors have nevertheless been popping up about the 23rd Bond installment. While you're shouldn't believe everything you read on Wikipedia, Softley seems in line with the type of directors the franchise has previously hired. His resume includes such films as "The Skeleton Key," "K-pax" and "Hackers." We're going to have to wait to see whether Softley is really in talks to direct the new film. But with such a recognizable franchise, I wish they would entice Boyle some more, »
