One of the main characters (Faye Valentine) wears a skimpy outfit that she uses to her advantage. In one scene, she is shown in the shower.In another scene, she is almost raped. Her top is cut open, and most of her breasts are shown. The rapist is interrupted shortly after passionately kissing her, against her will.

A man is shot in the head while riding a subway.A man suffers a severe flesh wound.A brutal fistfight takes place near the end of the film, nearly killing both of the men involved.

Smoking occurs throughout the film. Many scenes involve the underground drug cartel.
Many of the action scenes are intense, and there is a prevelant theme of terrorism.The many adult themes are ones that require thought. The film is overall very philosophical and thought-provoking.
