An utterly wonderful short film showing a day in the life of a Jean Paul Belmondo wannabe, living his life as if the French New Wave had never crashed on the shore of film history. For our hero lives in London, and as such, the whole piece is exquisitely filmed in black and white as a tongue in cheek take on French cinema of the 1950s/1960s, even managing to make many of the scenes and even sets appear to correspond to Breathless. But that's not all, the quick editing and sublime attention to detail makes this a must see for fans of short spoof films and new wavers alike. Clever, inventive and, so so British, if it wasn't so French.
