• Anachronisms: When the alchemist talks about his explosive powder, he says he got the recipe from China. The movie takes place around 5,000 years ago, while the kingdoms that were to unite to form China were still independent (the emperor who gave his name to China wasn't yet born), and almost 3,000 years before the Chinese first discovered "firepowder" in the mid-200s BC.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Cassandra climbs out of the fountain naked, she can be seen wearing flesh-colored shorts.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Cassandra is pulled out of the fountain by Mathayus, her skin colored shorts are clearly visible, and, somewhat see-through.

• Revealing mistakes: One of the first times we see Balthazar, we can clearly see the adhesive for the fake scar on his right cheek which is coming loose.
  
  
• Continuity: The arrow in Mathayus leg changes lengths from when it is broken off to when he pulls it out.
  
  
• Continuity: When Arpid is arm-wrestling a lady at the camp, they are both using their left hands. In the next shot they are using their right hands.
  
  
• Continuity: When Mathayus is fighting the guy with the flaming swords, the swords go out twice.
  
  
• Continuity: Early in the movie, Memnon grabs a chunk of meat and tosses it to his tigers. It briefly reappears in his hand in the next shot, then disappears again.
  
  
• Continuity: Mathayus throws a rope from the top of the wall down to his camel. We see the rope hit the camel but after he has climbed down, the rope is a few feet shorter.
  
  
• Continuity: When Mathayus and his crew are captured, they take his sword. In the next couple of shots he is tied up and grabs his sword from the guard by him. He runs at his captor and their swords clash and break in half. A little while after the fight he is in his tent. The sorcerer comes in and he is sharpening that same sword.
  
  
• Continuity: When Mathayus escapes from the harem he cuts the gong and rolls it away for cover, he does not have time to return it to his sheath yet when he drops into the sorcerer's chamber he immediately draws his sword.
  
  
• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Mathayus was chasing after Memnon, Memnon can be seen knocking out The Sorceress, but when the camera changes you can see her getting knocked out again in the back ground, and then again once more.
