(2002) National Lampoon tries to channel Animal House for a new generation in this college comedy about a professional student (Ryan Reynolds) who turns to the one skill he’s developed in his career in higher education: party planning. Tara Reid is the school paper reporter determined to expose the campus legend until she falls for his charms and Kal Penn is a partner in prank (he stars in the upcoming theatrical sequel). Tim Matheson, once the Animal House ringleader, plays Reynolds’ stuffed shirt of a father, and Walt Becker directs.
