No!! Absolutely not. I dig gory horror, as well as gory comedy, but this isn't the same thing, The Amazing Shocking Asia is just (real) gore for the hell of it. Just sickening scene after stomach-turning image after decayed corpse, and that music!! simply traumatizing. Some guy chimes in, occasionally giving us a little dialog (explanation). My only excuse for knowing of this is that a friend led me to believe that this was quality horror, but as it turned out, she only glanced at the cool-looking cover, in the video store, and me, being open to all B-cinema, rented it, and sat through the whole damn thing. And you know what? the cover wasn't even that cool. Don't think for one second that snuff-gore is all this so-called Shockumentary throws at us. We got horrible deformities, eating habits that are better left unexplained, rituals that should be outlawed, and an infant that couldn't possibly be of this planet. I recommend you forget you ever heard of this nightmare, and watch something worthwhile, like Poultrygeist. Although, if you have a thing for disturbing "documentaries", just watch Faces Of Death, or Faces Of Death 2, or 3, or 4, or 5, or Mondo Cane, or Traces Of Death, or Faces Of Gore. Anything but this!! 1/1
