US actress Brittany Murphy, of Sin City, 8 Mile and Just Married, died on Sunday at age 32 after going into cardiac arrest, according to media reports. Fox News broadcaster reported that the husband of the 32-year-old actress had called emergency services for help when she fell ill.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles police were investigating the her death, and the coroner plans to carry out an autopsy, People magazine reported.
Murphy, who played in films such as Sin City, 8 Mile, Girl Interrupted, Clueless and Just Married.

Clueless star Brittany Murphy has died, E! News has confirmed.
The 32-year-old actress went into full cardiac arrest early Sunday morning following a 911 call from her husband, Simon Monjack. She was pronounced dead upon arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
"The sudden loss of our beloved Brittany is a terrible tragedy," her family says in a statement. "She was our daughter, our wife, our love and a shining star. We ask you to respect our privacy at this time."
Murphy starred in such films as 8 Mile, Uptown Girls, Sin City and Don't Say a Word, and voiced the part of Luanne Platter in the Fox animated series King of the Hill.

In a tragic turn of events, Brittany Murphy has died at the age of 32. The actress went into cardiac arrest early Sunday morning in LA, and, despite being rushed to hospital, she was dead on arrival.Murphy had her big film break at the age of 18 in Clueless. She appeared as Tai, one of the bubbly sidekicks to Alicia Silverstone's Cher.From there, she scored small roles in the likes of Drop Dead Gorgeous and Drive, before winning some kudos for her performance in Girl, Interrupted. Brittany Murphy died of cardiac arrest early Sunday morning, according to a report by TMZ. The actress was 32.
It is reported that a call went out to 911 from her Los Angeles home at 8 a.m. Attempts to revive her were not successful, and she was pronounced dead upon arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
In addition to The White Hotel and Clueless, the Atlanta-born Murphy costarred in 8 Mile and Riding in Cars with Boys.
In May of 2007, she married British writer-director Simon Monjack.

In 2002, hip hop star Eminem impressed a helluva lot of people with his work in the sort-of-biographical drama, "8 Mile." He's been relatively quiet on the Hollywood front since then, other than a few publicity stunts. All that is about to change however, as Eminem is preparing to return to the silver screen.
Next up for Slim Shady is "Shady Talez," a 3-D horror anthology described as "'Twilight Zone' meets 'Creepshow'" by ScreenDaily, which broke the news. The project is a collaboration between "I, Robot" producer John Davis and writer/producer Dallas Jackson, under the D.J. Classicz/Davis Entertainment label. Jackson will co-write the story with "Underworld" creator Kevin Grevioux; the duo will also produce a four-issue comic book miniseries based on the movie under the Marvel Icons label, for a 2010 release.
