A great many people say that British comedy has gone down the toilet.
Well, these people can't have seen Richard and Judy, a show packed with
humour (albeit mostly unintentional). You can guarantee that in any
given episode Judy will fluff every other line she has to speak and
just look bewildered about most subjects and Richard will say something
incredibly embarrassing to a guest or about Judy. Also very amusing was
when they recruited Abi Titmuss as a reporter, who was only famous for
being John Leslie's girlfriend, and then dropped her like a brick after
sordid tabloid reports about her relationship with the aforementioned
Mr Leslie. Somebody should have known better.

My wife and I watched a programme on Thursday evening about the
training of Geisha girls and the point was made many times in that
programme that Geisha girls are not prostitutes but entertainers. If a
relationship is on offer it is entirely up to them whether or not they
take it up. It was therefore totally wrong of Richard to contradict
Judy (rather rudely)today and to insist that he was right to label the
Geisha profession as prostitution. This rudeness on Richard's part
seems to be a characteristic of the new series and it is regrettable as
it detracts from what was, and could be again, an entertaining family
show.

I don't watch it that often unless there is a really good celebrity
guest appearing, but when I do watch this it's quite good. Richard
Madeley and Judy present this quite good mid-day chat show which also
includes some good competitions and latest news. The most interesting
parts of the show for me are You Say We Pay where Richard and Judy
guess what a caller is describing, and obviously when a guest is on.
