The way we watch movies is changing. In five years time, the studios believe, all our home entertainment will be delivered digitally. Apple know this, and already have a large quantity of movies available via iTunes and Apple TV.
To encourage us to try this form of media, every week iTunes offers one movie for rental at 99p, a considerable discount from the usual price of £3.50. Every week I review the movie that has been chosen. This week, to coincide with Halloween, they’ve selected… Airplane creator David Zucker’s Scary Movie 3.
The first Scary Movie was the first proper spoof movie for a while when it was released. Opening at a time when gross-out movies had hit their prime, it was a big success. Infused with The Wayan family’s edge and relevant humour, it was a mix of old style Zucker/Abrams puns and more contemporary American Pie-style sex comedy, »

Warner Bros. took a gamble and gave director Spike Jonze two-and-a-half years to make his vision of Where the Wild Things Are. The studio and the filmmaker have been rewarded by audiences who bought $32.4 million dollars worth of tickets in the film's opening weekend, making it the new number one film in the land.
While Wild Things didn't come close to breaking any record for the biggest October opening ever (that's still held by Scary Movie 3 with $48 million), the film will likely earn its $100 million dollar production budget back domestically and recoup its production and advertising costs quicker than what could have been expected. The movie is enjoying mostly positive reviews and is appealing to children and grown-ups who are familiar with Maurice Sendak's classic book, so it should have a healthy run as alternative Halloween programming for the next two to three weeks.

It's hard to interview Leslie Neilsen and keep a straight face. The spoof-master general simply won't allow it.
When Fango recently caught up with the Airplane! and Naked Gun actor to discuss his portrayal of Kay (yes, a woman) in the upcoming Anchor Bay release of Stan Helsing (on DVD & Blu-ray October 27), Neilsen kept the jokes running at a steady pace as we quizzed him on everything from Forbidden Planet to Scary Movie.
Leslie Neilsen: So... you've always wanted to be in show business?
Fangoria: How did you get involved in Stan Helsing and what is the film about?
Ln: I don't know! (Laughs) The answer to both of those questions is that I don't know! (Laughing Again) It's funny because I bumped in Bo [Zenga, the director] in Vancouver and he said that he'd like me to play a part in the movie. I read the script and I noticed that there »

Dane Cook has a proposal today for Ellen DeGeneres' replacement on "Ellen," now that she's going to be busy judging on "American Idol." Check it out, and see what you think. Cook leads the Twitter-Wood playlist today, right ahead of "Sorority Row" star Leah Pipes and Selena Gomez, who misses Freddie Prinze Jr.'s TV show "Freddie."
Eddie Izzard, Ice-t and previously featured photo subject Steve Agee all entered the running for the Twitter Pic of the Day today -- and though only one could come out on top, I've ranked them below, eventually giving Izzard the break because, well, he's run 39 marathons now, and that's worth acknowledgement. After all, how many have you run lately? Congrats to him, and congrats to you for getting to read the Twitter-Wood report for September 10, 2009.

Last week’s sad death of Michael Jackson has all of us in the MTV newsroom working overtime these days, for obvious reasons. We already ran a story on Mj’s direct influence in movies and TV including “The Wiz” and “The Simpsons.” What’s even more impressive is the movies he inspired without even appearing in them.
Below are ten classic film moments that would not exist if Michael Jackson never moonwalked across our planet and into out hearts. What’s your favorite?
“Back to the Future” trilogy
In “Back to the Future Part II,” we got a peek at the theme restaurants of 2015 via an order-taking television with a “waiter” hybrid of Mj and Max Headroom. In the trilogy’s final entry, set in the Old West, Marty McFly avoids getting shot by moonwalking away from some evil cowboys.

Anchor Bay has just announced a September 15th release date for Paul Solet's creepy mom and kid flick, Grace. The real beauty in Grace is that it's just as much about the demons haunting Grace's mother than it is about the threat of a child that feeds on anything but formula. It's a remarkable film, one of the best of the year. Hit the jump for full DVD and Blu-ray details. After years of trying to conceive, Madeline (Ladd) and Michael Matheson (Stephen Park, Scary Movie 3, The Pink Panther) are finally about to become parents. But with only weeks to go before delivery, an accident leaves both Michael and the unborn child dead. Devastated, Madeline decides to carry the child to term and deliver... »

Denise Richards stated that she would never sing in public again as a response to the critics of her performance on Friday, May 1, at the Chicago Cubs Game. Denise, who previously played in "Scary Movie 3", could not carry a tune when she sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame".
Denise explained that the performance certainly was not intended to impress people with her singing abilities. "I'm clearly not a singer," she said as quoted in E!online, "I wasn't doing it to show off my pipes." She apparently has a very good reason she sang such song.
"People are trashing my singing. I don't care never said i could sing! I had fun and we had a great event," Denise reacted to the critics as she wrote on her Twitter. "It took everything in me to get up there and do that," Denise said in another source. "My dad and my sister kept saying, »
