How many more seasons does anyone think WAT can last?

I see it just scraped into the top 20 in the ratings for the last year in the US.

We are about a third of the way into Season 6 in the UK but they are also repeating Season 4 at the minute and seeing the two simultaneously is showing just how much the plots have deteriorated.

We have just seen an episode in Season 6 where a woman suffering from agrophobia vanished from her flat and was eventauuly found hiding in a bowling alley and it was embarrassingly weak and this seems to be progressive.

The writers really need to tighten up the plots. I don't have any problems with the Sam baby story or Martin love interest just as long as they are only peripheral. As others have said the main thrust has to be the missing person at least 80% of screen time and preferably even more.

A bonus is that the show has managed to retain all its main chareacters since the start. Maybe the fact that they are all B stream actors is partly the reason. Don't get me wrong - I'm not slighting them, I think they are all worthy of bigger things but maybe they don't command as big contract fees.

It's great to see a Season 7 but my feeling is that this could be a make or break one.
