Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .

Sex & Nudity

A man and a woman kiss. A man bandaging a woman's wounded hand leans over to kiss her but does not. A man removes a woman's dress and cuts off her corset, while saving her from drowning. A man admires a woman and looks at her longingly. A port city is shown with women (presumably prostitutes) interacting with drunken men. Two men talk about "finding a woman." As a woman straps on a man's belt and gun he flinches and says to her "easy on the goods." A woman's dress is sheer and we see a hint of the outline of her nipples when the dress gets wet. Women wear dresses that are low-cut, exposing cleavage. Two men tell a woman that she has been ordered to "dine with the crew and naked." Men are bare-chested in several scenes.

Violence & Gore

In scenes we see men turn into gruesome, decaying skeletons when they are hit by moonlight.

A man is shot in the chest and blood soaks his shirt then he falls over dead.

Dead pirate corpses are seen hung on rope. (no blood)

An axe digs into a pirate's back, but no blood is shown.

A pirate is stabbed (not shown), then we see blood on the knife

An undead pirate's wooden eye comically comes out a few times in this movie.

A man has his head cut off. (Not shown though.)

A man is stabbed by an undead pirate, but this is not shown.

Elizabeth is cut with a knife so the undead pirates don't have to live eternal anymore.

Profanity

8 mild obscenities.

There's talk of rum runners and Jack then opens a compartment on an island filled with bottles of rum. Elizabeth comments on his last stay on the island consisting of lying on the beach and drinking rum and he replies, "Welcome to the Caribbean." We then later see him and Elizabeth and both are drunk. Both drink some more, with him guzzling his down and then passing out. When he wakes up the next morning, she's burning the rum (as a rescue signal). There are other incidents of drink as well. Including those mentioned in the first section.

Elizabeth flees onto the deck of the Black Pearl only to discover that the entire crew is living skeletons (their partially decomposed appearance may frighten younger viewers). She also encounters a scary looking skeletal monkey (that's alive). The skeletons appear several times in the second half of the movie.
