Night and Fog Rolling in Toward the Big Screen

23 December 2009 12:57 AM, PST | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

Frankenstein Mist. You don't see that very often on the evening weather report. Usually it's snow or sunshine. Me? I wanna live in the world where a good old fashioned Frankenstein Mist can turn the world on its ear. Studio 407's comic Night and Fog is just such a world, and it has just been optioned for the big screen!

From the Press Release

Studio 407 announced today that their sci-fi horror property Night and Fog has been optioned for film by renowned producers Gil Adler and Shane McCarthy. No stranger to comic book material, Adler has produced such comic book films as Constantine, Superman Returns, as well as most recently Dead of Night, which was based on the popular Italian comic book Dylan Dog.

Said Adler: “This material is definitely in my strike zone in more ways than one. And having produced the Tales from the Crypt series »

James Cameron Is Thinking About A Project To Reunite With Arnold Schwarzenegger

10 December 2009 10:00 AM, PST | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

Early in the Aughts, Arnold Schwarzenegger made the move from Hollywood to the office of the Governor of California. Since then he's popped up in a poofy-haired cameo in "Around the World in 80 Days" (actually filmed before Arnie's 2003 election) and filmed a small role for Sylvester Stallone's upcoming action flick, "The Expendables."

Yet soon the Terminator will be leaving office, and while there is talk that he could make a run for the Senate, there's also word out in the ether that he'll return to a big screen career. In an interview set to run as part of MTV's "Behind the Screen" show on December 16, at 4pm Est, director James Cameron—who created Schwarzenegger's most iconic role in the "Terminator" films—revealed that he just might be the one who ushers the Gov back in front of the camera.

No More Politics For Schwarzenegger

18 November 2009 1:57 PM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Arnold Schwarzenegger has given his film fans a boost by announcing his days as a politician are numbered - and he'll quit chasing public office next year.

The former action man's second and final term as Governor of California comes to an end at the end of 2010 and he insists he won't be seeking any other political gig after he steps down.

The Austrian-bon Republican recently hinted at another possible political run when he challenged America's rules on the nationality of those who seek election as President, but Schwarzenegger insists he won't be seeking that role - or any other once he leaves office in Sacramento, California.

He says, "I have never labelled myself as a politician, so I am not going to run for anything else."

But he stopped short of announcing any film plans. Since taking office in 2003, Schwarzenegger suspended his movie career, appearing only in cameo roles in The Rundown, Around the World in 80 Days and The Kid & I.

He's attached to next year's star-studded blockbuster The Expendables, which will star Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis and Terry Crews. »

We've said it before and we'll say it again: we couldn't be more pumped for Sylvester Stallone's all-star action extravaganza, The Expendables. If you've been tracking this pecs-pumping, pyrotechnics-palooza with us, then you're already hip to the summer 2010 film's hulking, Who's Who he-man cast (Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, etc.). You've also seen the early photos of a tattooed and totally ripped Stallone and heard that Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger would drop by for cameo appearances, pretty much cementing the film as a one-stop shopping site for '80s blow-'em-up blockbuster lovers. »

‘The Zookeeper’ Talks To Animals, Cher And Stallone Answer Back

23 June 2009 7:36 AM, PDT | FilmSchoolRejects.com | See recent FilmSchoolRejects news »

It seems Kevin James has been promoted from mall cop to zookeeper in the upcoming comedy called... wait for it... The Zookeeper.  (Let's hope he doesn't play a combination analyst/therapist in his next movie.)  James' character is a bit lacking in knowledge when it comes to the ladies, so the animals in his charge take notice and try to help him win Rosario Dawson's heart.  How you ask?  By talking to him and sharing their own relationship advice! Variety has just revealed the A-list talent that will be providing the voices for the animals includes Adam Sandler as a monkey, Jon Favreau as a bear, Sylvester Stallone as a lion, Cher as a giraffe, and Judd Apatow as an elephant. The Zookeeper is being directed by Frank Coraci, whose sole quality film (The Wedding Singer) was made over ten years ago.  Since then he's brought us The Waterboy, Around The World In 80 Days »
